Linux on my new Refurbished computer

My wife has an Optiplex SFF with i5-6500 as well. It has less RAM (2x8GB) but it still runs well after a number of years.

Do you know about virtualisation? Could you do a session on doing bare-metal virtualisation with hardware passthrough? I've been trying to do it on Proxmox, but it's quite confusing...

When you hear "hello hello hello" you know you're going to get a interesting and informative video. Your videos are like visiting with a good friend.

I would do a hard drive backup of the Windows setup with Clonezilla (or Rescuezilla) and then wipe the hard drive.
And if I decide to return the machine, I just use Clonezilla (or Rescuezilla) to put back the backup of the Windows setup to the hard drive.

Well, for hibernation, a swap file for the amount of RAM on your system is recommended. I always do anyhow.

One of the great things about your channel is the excellent thumbnails featuring you, and sometimes Hope. I would have liked to see you with your arm around your new computer (and with your characteristic pleasant grin).
But despite the barren thumbnail, this was another great video. I agree with @esra_erimez: "Your videos are like visiting with a good friend", and always worth a "like".

Great video! I was actually looking at optiplex last month. I'm still unsure what to do with it. I though maybe use it for APRS or some ham radio usage, maybe BBS?
