Audeze MM100 || Their Best showing in Years

Audeze is great for everything... except for neck health. Human spine is not built for Audeze. I don't prefer paying more money than price of headphones for orthopedics 😢

I almost bought them, but I like the look of the mm 500 more. I like the xlr connection. I like the dual cable entry of higher end headphones. I like the adjustable rods vs the stretchy headband bc I have a big head. I’m sure these are great, but I want the whole package when I buy headphones.

How do these compare to the dt900 pro x? These are more expensive, but are they noticably better? For music, gaming and guitar playing😁

The mm-100 is neutral except a quite noticeable boost at 3k Hz, which makes it strange to use. It's a studio tool, but a very niche use case. So it doesn't really adhere to the Sean Olive Harman curve, instead has a sound signature useful for Manny Marroquin (only?).

can you recommend MM-100 over 660S2?, because i have 660S2 and im not ok with how they sounded and i have ZEN DAC 3 and ZEN CAN 3 combo, so power is enough for them, but still im not happy with senny.

Watched the video, bought the headphones. However, the Dekoni pads do not fit the MM100. Dekoni have confirmed this.

Damn 🙁 Recently I had to choose between these MM 100 and Ananda V3. I chose the Anandas judging that these Audeze's are entry lvl and other reviewers said that they are neutral studio like cans. Now I kind of regret but the Ananda sure sounds good and precise but I don't know how much they last. 🤔

How do they compare to the focal elegia?

Has anyone compared these to the Ananda Nano? Similar price.

I don’t see how you can complain about the tuning of the LCD-5 but endorse these when they have essentially the same tuning.

I have a small story with this model)) they were second Audeze I ever heared (after Maxwell) and I've been shocked! how they good.
I decided to buy them but I had oportunity to compare them with Senh 490 Pro and Neumann NDH-30. and.. here's a problem)) Neumann's so good too! and I bought NDH-30)) but I still really really really want MM-100! cos' their mid focused sound so pleasent!

400 dollar Audeze 🤨. I have questions. Not so much about sound but about build quality. I bought a set of Oppo PM3s many moons ago. Same price point and the “leather” was peeling within six months.

Headphone was pretty underwhelming for me. I loved the fact how amazingly easy it was to drive. I loved its build quality, I loved the aesthetics and I loved its emphasis on dialougue in single player games. BUT when it comes to music, the extremely forward vocals was no bueno. It felt like vocalist were singing OVER the music rather than WITH the music. It was like vocals was at 10 but the music was at 6. It was just simply distracting. I also found the staging very close, it almost felt closed back.

If they could make this same headphone, reduce the vocals by 20% and open the staging a bit, For me, it would have been EXCELLENT.

I bought it and sold it. It's so boring, so utterly boring, no soundstage, a detailed pancake. Nah, first time I really don't agree.

Zeos is the most loving person in the audio universe. Didn't hate a piece of gear in the last 5 years or so. I hated almost anything I got this year and it's not over yet.

TLDR: I LOVE THIS HEADPHONE!!!

i love my MM-100. if i had to sum up how they sound in one word that word would be "effortless". they do exactly what is asked of them and sound like it takes zero effort to produce whatever sound you give them. I even did a double take to a video when the person blew in the mic and i felt the air. that isn't a joke that is a thing that happened. for as much as I love them though there is a down side. several months in they decided to stop working balanced. the cable works on other headphones and they work with the cable that came with them but for whatever reason they only have sound in the right side if i run them balanced, while this is a down side the flip side of that is that from what I have tested they just do not care about the amp. like my dac/amp verry clearly have better stereo separation when balanced on any other headphones. these however don't seem to care and sound the exact same. all in all fantastic headphone would recommend.

I demod these aboout 1 month ago, really loved the technical capabilities of audeze, take excellent to eq. My mm100 should be arriving tomorrow, hope to enjoy it as much as you do

You need to revisit yoir review of the lcd x, specifically the 2021 edition. This was my first audeze full size planar that was also quoted for "studio` use. Let's put it this way. I would sell my lcd 4 before I give up my lcd x 20021. These are efficient enough to sou d good on about anything but scale up with better gear. I have a love /hate relationship with my lcd 4. Driven properly with good amp and sour e gear I love them but not meh. I suspect you ever found the synergistic anmp/dac/source with the lcd 5 you did r care for. Those are way more dependant on that than the lcd 4.. if you by the audeze 500 for review make sure you at least have the lcd x 2021 edition for comparison. The lcd x in audeze on ego is their best selling headphone for good reason.. and one note I want to add if your using a tube pre like I do in in my big rig 2 channel system it's purpose is not to help asses or pick apart what's good or bad. It's about Dding character and enjoyment.

A lot of user reviews are reporting qc issues and long repair times with Audeze (2+ months).

I hadn't heard of Audeze having QC issues before but to hit this price point I guess they had to cut some corners. Note: Audeze has been good about refunding people.

I think maybe a used pair of LDC-X's is the sweet spot for price to performance for this brand.

The MM100 are just different. I own the Maxwell, Penrose, LCD-2C. The MM100 are my favorite.

they upper mid forward, they not neutral and they shouldn't. vocals, distorted mid guitars and all stuff like that playing right in your face.
but listen to me! engineers DON'T need neutral headphones only. different sound profiles for different proposes. just not for explaining in comments.

Had the 500 they were no good and they had driver failure….just got the ananda nano…pretty pretty good zeos. My meeze empyrean 1 just broke those were my favorite. So Nano vs mm-100. The 500 were so u comfortable and heavy.

Manny Marroquin is a Mixing and Mastering engineer who tuned these so that he is comfortable mixing tracks with these in a studio as well as in a hotel room. It is because of this that studios get mentioned so much in the item description.
