I...really don't see Siddgeir doing this at all. That bandit-enabling piece of garbage would happily jump into bed with the Thalmor just as quickly as Erikur did, and he's only allied with the Empire because his province is sitting right on their border. If he even thought for a second that the Stormcloaks would win the war, you can bet your septims that he'd jump ship as quickly as his slimy feet will let him.

Erikur was actually a wood elf on the part. And the servant girl was a high elf. That's the only way she can reject him so bad. Germanic tales would tell the story this way. The evil side inverted everything after the war.
