500 ft - 150 m RULE :
An aircraft MUST maintain an altitude of 500 feet or 150 meters above the surface, except over open water or sparsely populated areas. In those cases, the aircraft may NOT be operated closer than 500 feet or 150 meters to any person, vessel, vehicle, or structure!!!!
And ALWAYS listen to your instructor.. Safe flying ;)
And just for a record I did file my accident report online with Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association of Canada of Canada!!
.. CONCLUSION ..
I made 4 mistakes :
1. Did not take HEAD wind seriously enough !!
2. Overestimated penetration ability - limited ability of a single surface glider !!
3. I FLEW OVER AN UNKNOWN HUMP AND EXPECTED TO GET LIFT ( like on a normal hill ) AND INSTEAD ENCOUNTERED SINK AND AT THE END STALLED GLIDER WHICH CONCLUDED MY CRASH !!
4. MY LAST AND "BIGGEST'' MISTAKE .. I FLEW ..TOO LOW .. TOO SLOW !!!!
