It’s unbelievable how appeals courts can think that delaying a decision for this amount of time is acceptable in these types of circumstances. There are literal lives at stake here. The situation is clearly building towards another Kent State type incident.

I am glad the Marines are troubled about using force against civilian demonstrators. The police, whose motto is supposedly "Serve and Protect", never seem to be.

I'd be tempted to stand near one of the marines and offer, " can call the GI Rights Hotline for you, I can get you out of here, just give me a way to identify you".

i blame the legal system for it's failure to hold the wealthy and influential accountable. They had four years to prosecute trump and his enablers for their seditious conspiracy, it didn't happen and now we're here.

I wish the 9th Circuit had let the order stand, then scheduled their hearing for the last week in December. The Marines were deployed to L.A. today.

By all rights, the National Guard Commanders should have refused the order from TACO as soon as it came through, because it didn't come from Governor Newsom.
They should have demanded a court order requiring them to follow the instructions of TACO, because he was trying to bypass the chain of command.

I love how there's absolutely no repercussions in violating the constitution. Like yeah, you're not supposed to do it, but we won't punish you, we'll just tell you you're not allowed to do it.
