The thing that makes Jacob more terriying than the other villians and makes him stand out is because of his calm, controlled nature and how he uses psychological warfare to his advantage. He is also the only soldier innthe Seed family. He has been through more than any of the other side villians combined.

the amazing thing about this is that yes, "your character" was being brainwashed and conditioned, but so were YOU. you ran through that same scene so many times that you were downright bored of it. the timer created your sense of urgency to be fast - too fast to think about what you were doing - and over and over you drilled out this scene never once thinking about the faceless being you killed at the end but then suddenly, its eli. and you didnt even stop to notice it

When you are captured for the final time you run through the sequence the soldiers all turn into smoke like before. But, once you go down the slide/bunker hatch the soldiers drop dead and dint turn into smoke shiwing that you are actually in the bunker killing real whitetails. I just thought it was a neat little detail
