I literally skipped ahead when i saw “cOpE” came out to just cut a promo, I’m all set on that since his return, just not what the main event needs rn.

Keeping it real, y'all are coming down WAY too hard on some solid shows. 70-85% of AEW has been solid these last 3 months. This is a problem with Wrestling commentary. You said you loved a match in this show and proceeded to spend the whole segment criticizing the pencil and then summed up the good by saying, "that said, I enjoyed the match" Wrestle talk all say your anti-tribalism, but in reality you are offering 80% biting commentary on items that are only moderately an issue. Many of us wanted a WWE Alternative, in which wrestlers have more say in their promos and less scripted presentation. AEW does exactly that, and guess what; sometimes that breeds Swerve and early Miro and MJF and unfortunately, some of that is the name " Cope" and Jericho and others making choices that we don't love. But that's what we wanted. Therefore our critique can't all be slinging frustration at the promotion. "AEW just isn't hot right now" that does fly as in depth thoughtful criticism. It sounds more akin to Fickle Fandom. Let's Enjoy the product more and critique with an open perspective. You Malaki Black is making choices too. And maybe Tony and the brand are protecting these wrestlers.

Hurt syndicate running roughshod in ROH would be great like how they did on raw underground

Daniel Garcia just defended the TNT belt this past Saturday against Mark Briscoe who he lost to in the continental classic. At least look at the results from collision if your gonna be asking what wrestlers are up to. Garcia beat Shelton in the CC, so I think you guys sound angry that Shelton hasn't gotten a title shot that he didn't earn.

It's really weird, but another decisions surrounding the world title in 2024 were cool in isolation, but from reign to reign, the stuff in-between hasn't been that good.

Joe as Champ was cool, but after the Hook match it simply didn't matter as all everyone wanted was Swerve. Then Swerve ultimately gets it, and it just ends with Danielson and now feels a bit of a waste. Sure, Ospreay put him over, but I don't think that helped Ospreay or even Swerve as much as people think.

Danielson wins it and then they speed run the D-Riders and now the D-Riders angle has burnt out.

I just feel there wasn't a lot of continuity between reigns.

I think there is a lack of understanding of the deathwiders angle. It was never about taking over the promotion. Moxley has always said in promos that he doesn't like what AEW has become and that the roster has become stagnant. Moxley is purposely not making himself feel like champ, it's the reason we haven't seen the world title and even the trios titles. He's elevating the roster to make them want the title and grow past their comfort level.

Honestly, Mox probably doesn't like it, but if he wants people to get invested in the Deathriders story, we need fewer backstage rants and more backstage conversations. What they have is basically the Bloodline, but the magic of the Bloodline was not Roman's matches where he cheats to win, or the beatdowns they'd do, the magic was the conversations between them.

I wanna see Claudio tell Mox not to go to the ring because he wants him 100% for Revolution, and Mox to tell Claudio "who's in charge?". I wanna see Yuta try and stop Mox from breaking Cope's neck and Mox intimidating Yuta into doing it himself. I wanna see Pac be the bully for Yuta and Shafir put a stop to it.

We should have seen more than just when they threatened Yuta and Orange came to save him, but it was a trap. That was good, but the burden of the story they've been telling has been mostly on whoever Mox's opponent is, while Mox spews vitriolic speeches.

Deathriders isn't dead and isn't broken, it just needs a little more personal storytelling and less nebulous "I'm doing this for AEW".

Hangman Page as world champion and Kenny chasing and dethroning Page for the World Title at whatever paper view AEW wants to do it at, but it needs to happen and give me a Kenny Omega five-star match from the best-bought machine! Can not wait for Okadah versus Kenny five!

I totally agree that the Deathriders are now just a heal stable, and this has gone nowhere. All these guys, like MJF and others, want the World Titlelen back. The World title needs to go back before Darby onto Kenny Omega. The creative for this world title run of Moxly's has just been badly booked, and the title needs to be taken off of Moxly ASAP!

Kenny and Will Osprey verses Kyle Fletcher and Lance Archer or Brian Cage in a tag team match. Then do Kenny Okadah at All IN. Then AEW needs to get the title off of Moxley by duing Kenny Verses Moxley!

I honestly dont get what people dont like about the Death Riders angle. They have been a consistent threat across all AEW television. They are treated like a big deal, wrestlers up and down treat them as a big deal, and they are unique/different from other in the nWo style. They are realistic (why would they sell merch? They dont) I absolutely love the symbolism of the heart/soul of AEW being held hostage with the belt in the brief case. I dont even get the argument of "they have no end game." Look at the Bloodline. There's no end game their. we are litterly back to from being the tribal cheif with Sami and the Usos as his now babyface henchmen. I dont think AEW EVP Cody finishing his story was the plan in 2020. Yet I feel like here they DO have a plan to put over a top babyface with multiple options.

Deathriders have gone from "long term story telling" to just a "long story."

How are you supposed to care about Collision if you don't put people on Collision? Thats a stupid ass take. They are slowly trying to build up the tag division but its not a overnight thing. The Trios Division killed the Tag and they are finally trying to address it but it takes time. Additionally, Mox is literally in charge of his creative in AEW, especially this Death Riders story, so yes blame him.

The death riders just have a few too many house of tourture-isms for my taste. I get the heeling interference but it just comes to a point where it makes Mox not as credible as a threat if he is only escaping by the skin of his teeth. And for a group which is supposed to be the biggest threat that hurts perception. Moxley promos are still very intriguing but the words just don’t have the same bite, also the shift in focus from someone making him do his evil take over to him just wanting hurts the story as it takes away that potential inner turmoil within Mox.

Hangmans gimmick is old and stale, as horrible as the moxley thing is, its 100 times better than what a hangman reign would be

Wretle talk and the wider casual viewing audience like to pretend they want long term character driven stories that build new stars because it makes them feel smart and adds legitimacy to their buzzfeed level content. The reality is they don't, they don't want subtilty or character driven narratives, they want wwe soap opera nonsense, and the death riders are not that. TWO MONTHS, it took two months to turn on this world title program that has produced amazing work

It feels like the main event scene for every company is not what people want. In WWE Cody and Gunther are not the main event stars, it’s Roman Punk Seth Drew, and here it’s the same thing Will, Swerve, Hangman maybe even MJF are your stars, but here’s the issues with both companies no crossover. Why don’t The Death Riders beat down MJF? Biggest ego in the company. Why are people like private party and Daniel Garcia, champions who are no longer tied to this story. The problem for me is the Death Rider stuff is not big enough and wheeler should not be getting punked out dude was a fantastic 3-time pure champion give him his respect

Yes this aew show was better then last week should of done this first aew is starting to make sense again and storylines are starting to come together and mjf and jeff could work if done right and slowly build that storyline even if Jeff’s not are guy but mjf can make it work watch out for the swerve I see it coming with mjf and Jeff

They should absolutely pivot. Maybe have Danielson come back for one night only to destroy moxley, have Christian cash in, give him a short run and then give the title to a returning Samoa Joe or something, give him a big heel push and let Darby or Will beat him.

I will go a few months without watching WWE and think maybe it is better than AEW. This week again reinforced to me that AEW is far superior

Dynasty was WK night 2, because ha;f those matches should've been on WK but they weren't for syndication reasons lol. Not a fan of Moné having all the titles. But i've never liked belt collectors over several companies. Because someone always loses out from it. (Usually the wrestlers in a smaller company not having a title therE)

No one is more into Mox than Mox himself. Hearing him talk about his own matches is Jericho esq. He's so full of himself and then complains when people arent into it.

They’re slowly killing the Death Riders because they haven’t added any new recruits. Every match should have a ? Hanging over it with are they with Mox or Team AEW. I feel they should have had GYV win gold and join DRs for example. The Death Riders should be all over both products and show up at ROH too. But for some reason they just missed the target. I’d even of had Hangers join Mox as the poster boy of AEW.

Honestly I wasn’t mad at the Mox’s faction until it became redundant and lacked solid progression. With Kenny back, there’s a lot of opportunity to start fresh. Have Hangman defeat Mox for the title and then feud with Kenny Omega
