Will this rival the big dig series. Tune in next episode.
ОтветитьI grew up in a family of gamblers who also drink..lucky me ..welcome to my life. It's a physical addiction....their eyes glaze over.
ОтветитьIncredible coverage. Great podcast well done. 👏 💰🤙✨
ОтветитьI love Ian Coss' works. Cover the Bike Lane Wars next!
ОтветитьWe need more coverage of topics like this
ОтветитьUnpopular opinion.. I think the treasurer singing this song is the best version of it I have ever heard😂. Not so in your face like the othe versions. Simple and rich.
ОтветитьThis series is excellent
ОтветитьAnd I just wanna say PBS and all it's affiliates are our national treasure And should be protected at all cost
ОтветитьI’m very glad to see a return of this type of series from GBH. Loved the Big Dig coverage and I’m looking g forward to diving into this topic. Thank you for everyone’s hard work that put this together.
ОтветитьAh, scratch tickets - a tax on the stupid.
ОтветитьI'm no liberal but credit where it's due, this guy really knows how to put together an entertaining series
ОтветитьThis is so good!
ОтветитьI love you GBH. Please look into Chapter 40B next, tie it into the shelter laws and MBTA communities act, but also why it still faces resistance in Western MA.
ОтветитьIan - three episodes in and this is another standout series so far like the Big Dig. I worked in corporate finance on Wall Street covering casinos and then went to work in Vegas for Caesars and MGM before changing industries and moving to the Boston area in 2018. But even having spent nearly 20 years banking or being a part of the gaming industry a lot of this history is new to me. FYI - John Koza is somewhat of a legend in gaming when Scientific Games was bought by Autotote in 2000 it took the Scientific Games brand name. Sci Games, as we called it in the industry, was extremely well regarded by the gaming operators I worked for in the 00’s and 10s. Sci Games for better or worse loaded up on debt to keep acquiring and eventually was forced to divest the lottery, OTB and sports betting businesses and kept its core slot manufacturing business under the name Light and Wonder to pay off mounting debts. However Koza was a huge force in mainstreaming gambling in the US and deserves major recognition for his role in changing Americas perceptions of gambling.
ОтветитьGotta blame sweepstakes kelly for this one!!!!
