i microwave a mug of milk for a couple of minutes then stir in some instant coffee
ОтветитьFantastic video, I like it so much. Thank you for great instructions.
ОтветитьI learned something
Ответить"It's too foamy."
Is this why no fucking coffee bar can make me an actual fucking cappuccino anymore
French press goes strong
ОтветитьIm 4 years late for the coffee 🙂
ОтветитьI can make a better coffee using a bootleg version of the AeroPress method, than I can with my delonghi dedica machine
ОтветитьI have been using the invert method with the Aeropress for quite a while, I have a great system combined with microwave for milk into milk jug then frothing wand. Great consistent coffee.
ОтветитьSome tip for those who uses french press for foaming: doing 2 or 3 rounds of heating=>foaming=>heating=>foaming will GREATLY increase the end quality of milk foam! Just watch out for NOT overstepping the 70 degrees line and will be surprised how good result can be!
ОтветитьAeropress team 😍 So simple and delicious 😋 (but) With a very efficient grinder 😙
ОтветитьGreat detail without being alienating. Perhaps tips on the extra milk option the small hand held powered whisks and the importance of fat content in the milk?
ОтветитьI am fairly new to coffee drinks besides regular coffee pot coffee. I always thought the coffee from those seemed weak unless I rebrewed coffee or used a percolator. I have been trying new coffee at local shops and realising how much better espresso drinks with steamed milk (machiatto/latte) and want to make them at home on the cheap. This and a few other videos have sold me on a moka pot. Stronger, close to espresso coffee that has more flavor at a lower cost. Thanks!
ОтветитьHow many people are here four years to late.. For give-away coffee,..
I am however all in with the info.... Thank you so much
you can also just use a wisk or electric beater on milk to make it foam or even whipped like.
ОтветитьUsed your tips for the moka pot method and now obsessed with the joy of the craft/art and science of coffee. It's such a meditative practice in the morning
Ответить"you can't have a really delicious really hot milk drink" get this man a masala chai not made in a european-style cafe
ОтветитьAwesome tutorial. Thanks for the breakdown on the hardware and the applications. Cheers!
ОтветитьThis is great information! Always searching to make great coffee.
ОтветитьIll be honest, I just like to hear this guy talk. Of course I love coffee too😆
ОтветитьBellman with guage SP
ОтветитьHi James: Thank you for your informative videos. I have learned so much from them. I have a simple question, while watching your videos, I notice a little “ceramic scoop” (😊container where you put the grinds into) - where can I purchase one. I appreciate this tip. Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьHi have you any experience with the Aeroccino by nespresso? I'm told it has multiple foam level settings one of them to make a fine foam for latte . I'm thinking of buying one now but not sure if it will do the job for my flat white ?
.
Moka pots are great!
ОтветитьBrilliant, but....
Absolutely no idea why you’d add milk, unless it’s non pasteurised...
The common misconception about milk is just a fallacy, it’s definitely not what it seems....
Coffee is coffee, why introduce more toxins than required?
You can heat milk without frothing to put over your cereal or to make a very nice hot chocolate
ОтветитьCouple of things. I can't drink coffee without sugar. No mention of it. Secondly - how can you go into so much detail on producing a classy cup of coffee without mentioning the coffee itself. Surely the taste depends entirely on the coffee!
ОтветитьIs there a perfect standalone electric milk steamer that would be as good as a $3,000 espresso machine for steaming?
ОтветитьJust bought the thing and wanted your insight
ОтветитьThis person has a smooth voice for E-books
ОтветитьThere's also the option of a Bamix with the whisking disk, that can work reasonably well. Similar to steaming, the trick is to first whisk near the top to trap air in a coarse foam, and then gradually immerse it to make the foam finer.
I also use a french press for whisking. I find the initial foam to be too dense and clearly separated from the liquid. It helps a bit if you stir it thoroughly with a long teaspoon.
When combining with the coffee, I tend to pur on the spoon while mixing gently, to get the foam more coffee'd.
But you might not want to take my word for it. I'm a barbarian who uses the same pre-ground supermarket coffee (though of the higher end) for french press and mokka alike.
Thanks so much for a very informative, and interesting video on coffee making sir. I am myself a huuuge coffee fan, and love trying varieties of coffee 😊
ОтветитьJust get a frother - so easy to froth milk and mix your MCT oil in your coffee.
Ответитьi've tried everything i can find about proper use of moka pots, including your great video on the process. alas, i can't get it right, even super low heat so as not to burn the grounds, i always end up with different degrees of gross. now, mind you, i am a tea drinker by birth but i've recently begun to not rue and lament the taste of coffee as i have for many years. local coffee shops, starbucks, etc make coffee that i enjoy. i'm just looking to replicate that as best i can, but the moka keeps giving me gross :(
ОтветитьI know this is old. But I have been out of work since last June. I am taking care of my wife who is struggling with cancer. I don't have a grinder. I only have a moka pot (1 cup) and a Keurig. I would love to be able to enjoy better coffee.
ОтветитьBought a milk frother which cost under €15. It's brilliant
ОтветитьI'm wondering if my technique with the mokapot is off or if perhaps I have a poor quality pot? I can never get the coffee to flow smoothly. (I think the issue may be my electric stove where I cant control the heat too well, but I do not know)
ОтветитьNo audio??
Ответитьactually with the french press u can do it less foamy (silky texture or something),
by big pump from air to milk until volume slightly increased (putting air into milk),
then medium pump from milk to bottom (breaking big foams),
then small pump with circling motion around the bottom only (make microfoams).
u can just playing with it, but my prefference for latte art is
6x big pumps
10x medium pumps
15 - 20x small pumps (sometimes 30x, swirl milk to see the texture)
Does anyone know why the inverted method for Aeropress is recommended? Also, I've done hundreds of these, and before frothing, I just microwave the milk in a Bodum small French Press about a minute, never had any issues. Then I pour it directly from the french press (as you're not really able to create great latte art anyway, why would you switch to that pitcher?). I'm thinking of ways to make this simpler and less stuff to clean afterwards...Now I dont even weigh the coffee anymore. I just use two Aeropress scoops of finely preground coffee and make a big latte, or two small cappucinos if I'm sharing. (Obviously adjusting the water too, filling the aeropress almost completely.) Great video!
ОтветитьI er, have a shhh! (nespresso machine) and like it, but wonder if this method of coffee filters/moka pot wouldn't be better? I have always wanted to do latte art, so suppose the best thing for me, would be to just get a 'proper' milk frother and one of these other methods of making real coffee would it? Your input and recommendations would be greatly appreciated James. Loving the channel and can't stop watching your videos!
ОтветитьYou can also use milk frother for your hot milk to create milk foam! I try it… but it’s hard to achieve microfoam. But maybe I’m wrong.
ОтветитьI hope this video was recorded before 12 😂
ОтветитьAERO PRESS! I make coffee on an airplane!
ОтветитьI'm on maternity leave and I'd really appreciate a bag of free coffee 🤞❤
ОтветитьI use hand mixer milk frother which operates with 2 AA battery which is lot cheaper than french press and i'm quite satisfied with the results....😁
ОтветитьMicrowaved milk is froathy ...
ОтветитьThanks. Watching your videos I’ve recently got a moka pot setup and am annoying coffee similar to the local cafes right at home for very cheap
ОтветитьI can’t afford an espresso machine. I want one so bad
ОтветитьMay I please have some coffee
