admire him for determining where the land and division of sea lie, he is driven by his instincts...and it's not really about winning, it's an existential drama

well Conte didn’t win a title in his first season at Siena and Bari I think? So not winning in the first season at inter wasn’t his first…

It's simple, he can win then after 2/3 seasons the players become older, more rusty while other teams try and catch his team by spending while his bosses want him to grind with the same players. At Inter they literally sold his best players but expected him to compete. He's right. .

Talking as Juventino, I supported Conte until Benfica draw in Turin at his third year. You have the possibility to go on UEL finale at home (J Stadium), you played poorly and without risking in any case (even if you need to win) and you go to the press conference crying and moaning about the injury time? As pathetic as the way he left.

Attitude and behavior aside, his football is just shocking. Sets up defensively without understanding how and why those setups work, doesn't use progressive players to bridge attack and defense, and relies on a flat front three to carry the entire attacking workload. Many Spurs fans are incredibly delusional about his tactics, spouting stuff about "automatisms" and "bombing wingbacks" which, at least in my view, has never been his philosophy.

When he leaves Spurs, there will inevitably be discourse about who's to blame. Did we fail him? Absolutely. But let's not act like he didn't sabotage us and himself on the way out, and let's not put ourselves under any illusions about what kind of manager he really is.

I disagree. Calling out club owners in public should be encourage. Putting dirt to the club is good. Recent owners is starting to behave as if they know more about the things they hire people to do.

One of the most overrated managers out there. For all of his domestic success, he cannot handle multiple competitions and definitely cannot handle Europe.

Get a strong squad, use 352 and see if it works. If it doesn't, start throwing your toys out....and completely ignore Europe.

I honestly think he's had valid reasons for leaving Juve, Chelsea and Inter but to leave Spurs who are willing to spend big and keep their best players to go manage AC Milan or Juve who are in termoil and can not spend big wouldn't make sense to me unless it's just a homesickness thing.

In this 2022-23 season, CONTE has lost 3 close friends, one of them his fitness coach at Spurs. And he has now undergone emergency gal bladder surgery which has led him to miss 4 Tottenham matches which they have WON with having his assistants in charge. From the TV screen it DOES seem like the team is playing with more freedom. But ... he has also repeatedly said he likes this groups of players as MEN ....
I think this edition of CONTE especially post surgery, will be one to watch and observe for the changes that MAY be in store from the patterns that these guests explain.
For all of us Tottenham fans, I sure hope so.
Thanks for a great video. Be sure to update this somehow at the end of this coming Summer ... because I think CONTE is very close to having the squad HE WANTS at Tottenham .. THEN we will see him work his magic ... He isn't going anywhere ... at least for 2 more years

It would be interesting to see if things would change if he actually got the full backing of the club in all stages. He is by far my favorite Manager he instills a winning attitude and he is a tactical Genius . But I would actually love for a club to say ok here is the keys and checkbook go win us everything. To see if things actually change and if he stays longer then 3 years .

Juve fan here: I don't believe he quit Juve abruptly. I believe they had an agreement that if Prandelli crashed out of WC he would become Italy coach, but, in unlikely scenario Prandelli had stayed he would've done one more season. Also, speaking of sabotage: he blatantly sabotaged EL semifinal in 2014 to win the scudetto at 102 points because he felt EL is shit and didn't care if the final was in Torino.

This analysis would need to look at who came after, what happened to the club? It's easy to say Conte and Mourinho are unstable and not see, sometimes, they are right and teams don't win much anyway after they leave.

It’s actually funny that it took Wenger to drop his stubbornness and play a kinda sorta back 3 against Chelsea and succeed that made Conte look at the formation and perfect it within the season. Plaudits, from a 30 year old+ Arsenal fan.

He's a chequebook manager. The absolute definition of it.
He comes in, isn't good, demands money, maybe does something and then fucks off with the club in a worse position.
