ОтветитьThe only messed up thing about porche is that center dial that shows you rpm which occupies so much real estate and is like the least useful thing! when I call dealership and ask about it they give me shit about their racing history! I am like give me a break that is so outdated! Tesla would beat the crap out of you!

ОтветитьAndrea, Zack, It's not a shifter, it's a gear selector. You use the paddles if you want to shift gears; use the gear selector to choose, park, drive, neutral and reverse. My 2022 911GTS has the same issue. I use the paddles to shift gears if needed. Thanks for your excellent videos.

ОтветитьI actually love the new gear selector … it frees up space in the center console … nobody likes the piano black in any cars (Porsche or not), so I don’t understand why automakers do that to ruin their interiors

ОтветитьNice as always. Agree on shifter and dash. No shroud over the gauges is odd. Some of us really enjoy analog like gauges and a shifter. 😊……oh did I mention the sound of a great generational ICE that they are known for .
ОтветитьThere is a saying that some like to "nickel and dime" you. That's too low level for Porsche. They go straight to liver and kidneying you! For that massive upgrade in price to the Turbo GT, I'd rather save the money & buy a good sports car or a superbike. It would be MUCH more fun.

ОтветитьIt is a deal breaker for me. I have been waiting a few years to replace my older Cayenne Turbo, I was excited to see the new 2024 but when I went to the dealer I was very disappointed. First no Turbo or GTS although I appreciate the V8 in the S. The outside refresh looks fine but the Taycanization of the dashboard is awful. The large plastic screen looks cheap (Mercedes does it a lot better), is unnecessary, all elements of luxury have been removed, the toggle shifter is ridiculous and ungainly to use. And the instrument cluster behind the steering wheel without the "hood" looks bare bones to me, even though I appreciate the speed of the new tech interface. Bottom line, I quickly scrambled and bought one of the very last remaining brand new 2023 Cayenne Turbos. I lucked out, I found a highly specced one for around $170,000 US Dollars, black with the cohiba/truffle interior richly appointed. Looks fabulous and I pick it up Friday! By the way, very much enjoy your videos, very helpful and very cute as a team together!

ОтветитьLooks better! I always thought the design was super ugly and boring, but this looks better. There will be no electric versions in few more years. The infrastructure cannot handle more electric cars.

ОтветитьVacillating between the Cayenne and Audi Q8...but on a different note, will NEVER buy a fully electric vehicle. Impractical and inconvenient. Hybridized maybe but not full EV. Great review (this is the 3rd time I've watched it lol!)
ОтветитьDon't buy this car if it uses A123 lithium battery. It dies fast, can't be repaired, and cost almost $4000 to replace without a substitute. Its a shit Show car.. Doesn't matter what engine You have, the shit is dead if the battery is bad.

ОтветитьAgree on the shifter, what WERE they thinking. I always used to rest my free hand on the top of mine on my old Cayenne diesel, and still do in my Macan S. I don't know if I could live with it on the dash like that.
Must say, I miss my Cayenne d. The low down torque was superb.
It took me 2 days to get used to the Taycan's dash-mounted shifter and now it's very natural to me. You don't use the shifter much in an EV, so I like that it takes up less space.

ОтветитьI'm not too crazy about the LED lights. It looks a bit cheap (I know I know it's not), but I feel like it's a flashlight on my dog walk. A beautiful car!

I know the Taycan models may be nice, but this along w the tried & true 911 series demonstrate why good ol Porsche ICE will never go away
ОтветитьI drive a 2022 Audi Q7. Really looking forward to having the PHEV option there as well with a range of about 100 Kms. That will be perfect for most of the commutes. Don't need any EVs in that case.
ОтветитьI went and drove several vehicles. The Porsche Cayenne was my number one choice. I wasn't impressed with Audi, BMW or Land Rover. I just ordered a Cayenne.
Ответить2024/2025 BMW X5 M60i, has more horsepower, it is a lot faster, much cheaper, and more reliable than Porsche. I have had both.

ОтветитьI'm really interested in a Cayenne base V6, but I'd really like to know the truth as to how different it is from it's Audi or VW cousins, besides the price. Is it not on the same chassis with the same engine/tranny etc and even the same 4 wheel drive system as any of the Audi or VWs with the 3L V6/8speed?
