I understand Gibson being upset about these copies, but if they didn't charge $3,000.00 for a guitar, more people would buy them. For me it's more about the name on the headstock. You shouldn't decieve people like that. I'd rather buy an LTD or Schecter LP type.

I paid 900 dollars for a chibson not knowing it was a fake and the guy told me it was a Gibson .I was sick when I found out

The fake looks terrible. If you think a chibson is good, you obviously don’t have an eye for detail or quality, so yes the cheap Chinese one is for you!
PS wouldn’t you prefer to support your own countries economy and be paying local wages, instead of sending your money to china? I guess most people don’t care about their own countries future as long as they are saving a dollar for themselves

You Are right... no point buying a fake... no matter what the price. And yeah, you Can Get a decent used Yamaha or A Tele squire that would probably sound better and be authentic. A fake would just bring out the fake you... No good.

2025 qualitys gettin better

The rosewood and the inlays are a huge give away . The wood is too bright and looks really dry and the inlays have no shine to them at all

The real one sounds much much better

Too bad this wasn’t done now in 2025 better quality of build for Chibson’s. The new ones have knubs on the frets on many models. The best way to tell is the thrust Rod. The Chinese have dual action thrust rods $200 today. I replaced the electronics, the tuners everything. And I have a fantastic instrument. I did cover the logo up with the sticker that actually says. I noticed the horrible headstock inlay and way too wide binding. Also the bridge and tailpiece playing is a joke

Take the same amount of money, buy the Chibson use the remainder for lessons. In the end you will be happier.
