This was without the optional hatchback. Despite having more room, not everybody wants a hatchback because American muscle cars typically don’t have one. The new Charger not only lacks a V8 and RWD but also comes standard with a hatchback and that’s also being criticized. For the Fox Body Mustang, a hatchback was offered but it was optional and apparently, it wasn’t too popular since the newer ones were never offered with one. Also, several Japanese and German coupes from the 1990s were offered with an optional hatchback. Same model but different body.
