Very unfortunate that they‘ve come so far and are still pushing on. I hope that this will wither and we‘ll eventually return to what is a right view on this topic.
ОтветитьOne other reason why conservatives in the 50s/60s fought this was because women were payed less. They were cheaper to hire.
ОтветитьA feminism upload on father's day? Tsk tsk tsk
ОтветитьThe worst thing to happen in history
ОтветитьI support women's rights and their body autonomy but I'm here to see how many mad bois show up. So far just 3
ОтветитьHow do you do a post on Second Wave Feminism without mentioning the invention and marketing of "The Pill"?
ОтветитьThis is a very interesting subject. It’s a trope with that moves among groups have a boom time and they peak.
ОтветитьOh boy this would be controversal
ОтветитьIt's always after a lot of men have been deleted they show up with demands. Now that Ukraine's been conscription a entire generation, nothing was heard of those who used to champion equality. They all got free passes to safer countries. When war is over, they'll suddenly have a voice and become champions of equality against their Ukrainian men who've always had everything handed to them.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you.
Ответитьon our republic ,feminism was popularized by a bored, secular, rich, Jewish wife with a lot of time to sit and stew in her own juices.... so to speak...Betty
Friedan. she even admits it. that's not an anti Semitic insult. the feminine mystique was the first time that bored females really thought that there was a patriarchy that kept the male heel on a woman's neck, that morphed, of course, as leftist nonsense always does, into nearly 50,ooo,ooo dead children. when I know that God is just, I weep for my country and the west in general. we are truly slouching towards Gomorrah. God bless
CIA funded gloria steinem and her magazine. Pathetic boitlicking Manchurian candidates.
ОтветитьPhyllis Schlafly was right.
Ответитьmy favorite memory of the ERA came at the end of a physics class, the day before election day, in 76 when the conservative Jewish professor said let's get out there and defeat the ERA, and being it was the moribund 70s, the class gave him a shrugging, who gives a damn, look.
ОтветитьBeginning of the fall
ОтветитьI completely agree with freedom of an individual to choose any path or lifestyle, I also look upon the overall results of these social movements.
Women's life satisfaction surveys have never been lower. Men life satisfaction as dipped alittle since the 1950's but women's satisfaction is far lower than men's and that rate for women is even accelerating faster.
I can't help but think of the concept of perverse and unintended consequences
I thought you would mention how it set the stage for moden 3rd wave feminism.
ОтветитьAnd now they can work at a crappy job like men! 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
ОтветитьInteresting.
ОтветитьI think this was early intersectional feminism.
ОтветитьThe Germans 68er movement would have been an interesting topic. I think they would have been a good example
ОтветитьUnfortunately, most of those second wave feminist became Karens.
ОтветитьIn Cuba they have equality everyone is equally poor and oppressed isn’t communism great 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThanks comrade!!! Now I can work for less pay than men and come home and do the household work, and raise the children... Thanks workers paradise!!!
ОтветитьCommunism utilized and directed feminism waves as political seduces goods in society and serves higher elite bed excitement...while in capitalism ( democracy) utilized and direct feminism as sexual commercial goods for money makers to become consumed ediction shoppers ..easily money makers and faster spenders... in both sides fragmentation of families embodied
ОтветитьI am not in favour of what was going in the past (and happens today to muslim countries) but we have to the other end.....
Plus, i don't see feminists protest how women are being treated in Muslim countries.....
Phyllis Schlafly was a roadblock towards any progress. Anything that didn't fit in her tiny mental box was anathema.
ОтветитьWhy do some people feel so threatened by people not wanting their path in life to be defined by the genitals they were born with?
ОтветитьComments being the way they are aside, thanks for the educational episode! Never learned much of this in school aside from the basics on the Civil Rights Movement, and I find it honestly fascinating on what went down back then, which still influences society today.
ОтветитьFor a history channel the commenters really are ignorant of history..
ОтветитьThey set the stage for 3rd wave feminism which is just about having pink hair and hating men. The man they hate the most is Donald Trump even though he hasn't taken any of their rights away.
ОтветитьCan you guys do Operation Condor?
Ответить"2nd wave focused on... LGBTQ rights...."
Ah no. 2nd wave feminism is critical of lesbians and is openly hostile to transgender rights. Remember the "Lavender Menace" and Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists?
Today's Feminism in general but specifically 2nd wave is characterized by the same social conservatism that once fought against it. Irony.
Educational, thank you!
ОтветитьSecond Wave Sex Marxism.
ОтветитьWell explained!
ОтветитьIt is interesting the west thrived for equal standing, meanwhile in the formal east is an status symbol to be a housewife still today.
Ответитьthis when everything went to shit
ОтветитьGetting into feminism in the late 80’s at college was a mindblower. Reshaped the way I saw society, governance, and culture.
Wild how triggered people are by the simple idea that people should be free from oppression, but here we are.
Feminism is evil. It has been from day 1. Truly look into the first wave and what they were about. They wanted to destroy society.
Ответитьcorporate feminism or feminism that refused to challenge the root causes of inequality or neoliberal feminism or my favorite: the gatekeep gaslight girlboss feminism was the worst thing to happen to the movement, because it had no real goal besides clapping like a seal for wealthy women already in power facing minimal oppression while still receiving the same backlash and reception as hardline movements with real change in mind. It was the worst of both worlds.
ОтветитьOperation Urgent Fury ?
Ответить"Soviet women expected to be mothers..." who else in the Soviet union could expected to become mothers?
ОтветитьHere we are in 2025 and women's rights are still under attack by conservatives. Of course the same old rhetoric of feminism being a threat to families, blah blah blah.
Ответить
