I like your video very much. Galway and the surroundings seems to be very nice. Historically I see, the town has to offer a lot. I never was in Ireland. Had not learned from Galway till present yet. Galway and Rijeka (Croatia) are in 2020 European cultural capitals. I come from Rijeka - also wonderful (Croatian biggest) port, with a lot of history.
The city was under the Austria Hungarian monarchy, then it was also 23 years under Italy. Englishmen Robert Whitehead and Ivan Luppis from Rijeka had developed in 1866 there the torpedo. The town was up to the decay of EX-Yugoslavia an important industrial town. Then many big companies were closed like (Torpedo, Paper Factory - the oldest of Europe and many other). Now the town is visited from year to year more and more by tourists. By the way, there is also an Irish pub. Rijeka is also known very much as a rock town. There are many of great bands and it is a lot offered what concerns the music. Rijekas surroundings is also wonderful - in winter it is 1 half an hour away to the ski places. From your video I could also get a foretaste for our trip to Ireland and I hope this in the near future. I myself live since 1971 not more in Rijeka, but I visit my hometown every year, because of big homesickness particularly in summer. Lake of Constance in the south of Germany (border triangle: Germany, Austria and Switzerland) has become mine second native country. Also one of the nicest areas of Europe. Best regards.
