However in a ironic twist, the biggest thing he got wrong was Batman’s character arc. He started as this bitter, angsty young billionaire who sees no hope in the city. This affects him as Batman, who is seen as a vengeance hero by the riddler and others. Riddler takes it too far by killing all the corrupt Instead of taking them to jail. Batman sees how this, and takes blame for Riddler and the others. His moral code isn’t shattered. It’s put back together. He learns to be a most positive symbol, a real superhero. He safes the people of Gotham and is read to help in any other way he can, as Batman besides punching and kicking.

The entire plot you're describing could have just been a live action "A Death in the Family" and " Under the Red Hood".

Honestly, now I do wanna see the Court of Owls in the next Batman movie. But honestly I'm kinda thankful that Batman's story didn't go the way Mat thought it to be entirely. He did get points right here and there but the part where Batman crosses the line of killing to "change the city" is not really something I'd wanna see for Batman. But that would open a different kind of story and Bruce would start acting like Batman in the end of the Arkham City game. He indirectly kills Joker and shames himself for it for a very long time. Bruce would be hit in the face with conscience and question where it all went wrong. But a more mental change of character instead of moral change of character was more entertaining with what we got in the movie instead.
Personal development is perfect for Batman, because flaws and fixing your flaws is part of being human. Personal degradation meanwhile, that's a different thing. More of Joker's story, or Thomas Wayne in the Flash Point timeline.

Also once played Cards Against Humanity with some randos in college and put down “dead parents” in response to “what is Batman’s guilty pleasure?” and the people I was with didn’t get it. I explained it was dark humor and they still didn’t get it. I finally say “Batman’s parents died and that’s what inspired him to become Batman…” and the guy reading the cards said “oh I don’t know anything about that stuff”. SIR! EVERYONE KNOWS THAT
