Jess in the haunted house!! LOL, and you didn't even go to the Fear Factory which is supposed to be actually haunted. ;) That slinky dog costume was so freaking cute (the whole theme was amazing). Glad you got to see the crazy houses at Daybreak.

We live in Utah and we love Frightmares. I hate the haunted houses, though. My mom decided to brave one with my husband. He told me later that she spent the whole time trying to crawl underneath the back of his t-shirt. 🙂

They do the build a house in Australia, only they use KitKats. Remember never to take Jess to Universal Halloween Horror Nights. What an awesome family costume.Loved that the dog was also included.

When Bec put on the dinosaur outfit, that was the hardest I had ever heard Steven laugh. Classic! And you guys must add one more to your theme park vlog list - Knotts Scary Farm. The original and still the best Halloween theme park. Better than Universal in my opinion.

I’m with Jess, I hate haunted houses. I grew up in Utah. When I was a teenager my friends and I went to a haunted house in Provo. It was at the state mental hospital. The original building looked like a castle. At that time, the hospital’s long term patients were the actors in the haunted house. My uncle worked for the hospital and the patients loved the haunted house. They had to be perfect patients for a year to even be considered. Shortly after I went, they stopped using patients as the actors because an advocacy group said it was dehumanizing. My uncle said the patients were devastated. Eventually the Haunted Case closed for good. The castle earned $100,000+ a year for the hospital’s recreation budget.

I love the travel channel…but I would also love a channel dedicated to Jess going through haunted houses 😂 That was so fun to watch!

so here is my scary halloween house story. It was at a Baptist church in the basement ( I think I was about 10) . SO they made all these tents you had to crawl through small tunnel tents and you would be able stand up in a larger tent and there would be something scary going on . Well I never got past the first stand up tent because when I popped into that stand up tent from crawling through a maze of small tent tunnels in the first "room" they had a surgery room setup... they had some bloody surgeons and nurses with masks on and they had a patient screaming on a cot and the surgeon had a clever and lopped off the patients leg... teh leg was a bloody piece of an animal leg from a butcher probably a leg if lamb ... I ran yep I ran on top of all those tents defying gravity and probably stepping on other kids heads who further into the tunnels .. I got to the stairs where a woman named Bunny and not in costume but very very very large bosoms grabbed me ( I hysterical and running for my life ) and just as she grabbed and smothered me in her breasts I peeked back to make sure they were not following and what I saw was blankets ie the tents falling in slow motion to the ground and confused kids all standing up trying to figure out what happened ,,, then Bunny smothered me into her breasts. I finally got away from Bunnys large suffocating breasts grasp and ran all the way home by myself in record time . Here is what was going in my mind and why I was so frightened: it was a church a place of god and I really did not know the people that well and I was thinking they were crazy like I was running from serial killers crazy. Seriously it was a church what were they thinking

when I was a kid there were these amusement parks that haunted houses you sat in a cart and it rolled you through ..I hated them but had a friend who loved them and insisted I go ... I knew it would be dark in there most of the time and just when teh doors open to the air again I would be able to see the light through my closed eyelids and I would open my eyes so my friend did not know I had my eyes closed the whole time ...I could hear her screaming and I would not be saying anything because I could not see anything LOL ... she never knew that I had my eyes closed teh whole time

I grew up in the projects and people were poor in teh projects so they never gave out good candy . SO my friends and I would go trick or treating in the single family homes where they had money and the gave out chocolate like reeses peanut butter cups. .. I remember standing outside this one house with a group od kids saying " trick or treat " a woman answered door in the best real life dragon costume I had ever seen at that age ( this was the 60's) .. she answered the door and beckoned us into the hall holding a full size reeses peanut butter cup package stepped into the covered hall and then she backed into teh house and down teh hall a bit again holding that full size reeses peabut butter package and beckoning us further in with he dragon claw I was like yeah nah and turned around and left my mom warned me able people who lure kids . Here is teh thing back then I never ever saw grown ups dressed up for halloween that was just weird and then beckoning us further into her house ummm yeah no thanks , Every time I walked by her house after that I always look at that house differently

When I was growing up here in America, Halloween was not as big a deal it was for a little kids but the origins is purely wrong and evil… But the adults perpetrated it for the kids. Nowadays it’s the adults doing it and it still is wrong and evil. There is no good thing that comes out of this and it does not serve goodness and light.
