ОтветитьGreat show.
ОтветитьIs William H. Johnson's 1945 painting "Marian Anderson," in this exhibition? And what about Jacob Lawrence's works?

ОтветитьGorgeous!
ОтветитьThis was wonderful to see. I am doing my best to plan a trip to see it.
ОтветитьI had the privilege to see this exhibit before museum hours and to experience this was amazing. It was so clean and the way it flows was top notch. My favorite section was “NIGHTLIFE”. The lighting fit the vibes that the art was telling and I spent most of my time there. Thank you for this exhibit, this video and I can’t wait to bring my family to see it.
ОтветитьThis is a wonderful and educational video.😊😊
ОтветитьI went to the MET and I loved it! It was my introduction to art. I didn’t know if I would like it because I don’t know about paintings etc. But they offer tours, and you get to discuss the art pieces and learn about history etc.I recommend going.😃
ОтветитьI can’t attend the exhibition (I live in Paris…) but I will buy the exhibition catalogue for sure !
Thank you Mrs Murrell and all the Met Team for the wonderful exhibition. I didn’t know that much about the Harlem Renaissance mouvement before watching the video. I’m blown away by the artworks of all these creatives minds.
Excellent! 🙏🏾

ОтветитьPortrait art and artist rendition is totally different Jonrahs of art.
ОтветитьThese exhibition tours are the best!!
ОтветитьBack in the autumn, I decided I would give a talk on Harlem Renaissance. I had picked 1920s in a draw at my U3A Art Appreciation class....so I started reading, books I got second hand and began to plan what to cover. Then, Iwas amazed to see this exhibition advertised on my mobile. The video is superb, amazing and has helped me a lot. The catalogue is a joy to read and study the pictures. Sadly, a visit is not possible.Thankyou so much from Swindon, England.
ОтветитьWhat an incredible exhibition. I wish it would travel to LA. Congratulations on everyone involved.
ОтветитьJacob Lawrence is an important figure too. Saw one of his works here but didn’t hear his name mentioned.
ОтветитьSchöner Vortrag !

ОтветитьTHE FACT THAT A WHITE MAN IS IN THIS IS INSULTING.

ОтветитьI'm looking forward to seeing this exhibit.
ОтветитьI am an art school graduate and this video made me realise that I knew very little about art. I wish I could see this exhibition.
ОтветитьThank goodness for such a comprehensive exploration of the exhibition. Already ordered the catalogue
ОтветитьThis video is EXCELLENT. I've seen quite a few of these works at a show at a show Pepperdine University. The MET show looks wonderful.
ОтветитьExcellent!!❤❤❤😊
ОтветитьI am glad I saw this video. I was not able to view it in person when in NYC doe to the extreme heat.
ОтветитьThank you Dr. Denise Murrell, what an exhibition! Just a lovely explanation of the history of the Harlem Renaissance but also of artists I would not know about otherwise. This should be a traveling exhibition for all to see. Your explanation is wonderful.
ОтветитьI saw these when the exhibit first opened and it was where I found myself spending the most of my time, me and my friend went back to that room twice!
ОтветитьCan this please be permanent would love to see this again!
ОтветитьThis is an excellent exhibition which should be seen by everyone. Denise Murell has outdone herself once again. Also, this video is excellent.
