Heroes and Generals is dead... here is why!

I miss the game for being able to use an anti aircraft vehicle for sniping at 1km range on a mountain top....great times....

I miss H&G

I was such a H&G Fan. Kinda glad I didn't really buy gold. I loved Hydra's videos. Man it's not the playerbases fault, the developers literally in an unprecedented move just exit scammed a game I'm assuming thousands of people would have put tens of thousands of dollars into. They would have made more than enough money to keep the game going. And then when they announced H&G 2 they had the audacity to request a fundraiser of 1 million dollars to kickstart the project of which the money that was recieved obviously was embezzeled after not reaching the goal of 1 Million. If anyone is to blame, it's Reto. They made their money, the game lost popularity and most likely was costing more for them to keep going than they were bringing in. Regardless of them making probably 100's of thousands of dollars on our backs, they didn't want to lose a cent and rug pulled.

I played H&G for 997 hours since 2021 and this was my saddest game vanish moment...
Now I'm playing Enlisted but I still sometimes remember this good old game....

So if TLM was sold to other company, does that means H&G will no longer be developed?

This was a game I genuinely loved since its alpha stage I have played since I think 2016 and always got veteran pass to help support the game. But its obvious sign that the game was going down hill was the battle pass ordeal and to my eyes thats a clear sign that they were struggling to make money and just trying to wring out everyone of as much money as possible. To be honest I believe the reason that people hated the videos you created is because of the fact that they were strong supporters of the game and wanted it to flourish just as much as I did but I think in the end everyone saw what was going to happen and when there was no preventing it I think thats when people started to get salty but it was fun while it lasted.

All they did was buying the game kill it then begged the community for money to make a propally worese version of the current game they killed what a bunsh of morrons its say that Heroes & Generals had to end this way Reto had put so much love and care into the game unfortunately ends up selling it to the wrong people RIP H&G

I just installed H&G and wanted to play it again and got surprised with the note that the server shut down, I’m so sad, H&G was the perfect game to play time to time it was very fun

It was a good game and so much fun, I now play hell let loose but seems the map is way too large and there's not much intense close distance combat as H&G... I have to say I miss the time in H&G and the excitement when I threw a grenade, then I died and see 3 people got killed by my grenade :)

i knew this game was going downhill even back when they added the Russian faction... the Aussies had major ping and super bad lag and RETO MOTO never wanted to listen to the community. we all left years before it died as we saw the writing on the wall, suck in to all of them, the sad part is that we all spend so much money time and effort to support them and now it's dead.

Someone should get the best version of this game and turn it to a LAN game, so people can make it playable in cyber cafes. These scums aren't interested of making a game, they are making a game to exploit gamers. Anyone who loves this game and plays all 3 factions can make a better game if there is financial backing to hire devs to create it.

I can't believe we can't even start the game and just play on our own map with friends.... This was possible with CS on 2000 ffs!

My view, TLM was looking to sellout way before they got their grubby hands on H&G. For cheap, I imagine. They quite literally used the game to pump up numbers on the charts to make TLM look good.

This was a very good game. Weird how a company first buys the game and then shuts it down months later. Doesn't make sense. Shtty company.

I remember sniping people from 3km away.

i begin to play in 2014 , was nice for a year then , devs start to fuck up the gameplay with random thing no one ask like closing house window so we cant go on roof to fight scope for infantry and slow vehicule outside of road . Worst stuff who killed the game is the random cone of fire with the random sway and vehicule remaster who made vehicule hard to destroy . Lets not forget Squad 2.0 who was the same thing as when you had binocular but worst , at least with binocular i could give different order to each soldier of the squad


i will end with a personal story , when they choose to merge assault team of the same kind as one on city and we couldnt choose which AT we wanted to fight in and get reward based on you AT fighting affectiveness , i ask on the forum why they change something who was already good for RNG warfund reward , they reply to me ''because new player have difficulty to level their assault team'' , i just answer ''they just have to play their own AT instead of throwing foot infantry into a fight and play another fight where there is vehicule'' , they never reply

imo the the biggest sign this game was doomed was years ago. they release a new map, its another super flat map, no one likes it because its just pay 2 win because snipers can kill everyone because the map is flat with no cover. the devs solution? charge people money to not play the map THEY made and add more sniper scopes. the games fun vanished soon after

I miss you PoopDrip. It was always a valiant battle between you and I, unless I got in a plane. I thoroughly enjoyed facing off against you.

We need to unite and bring this shit back! Surprised globally there is nobody with enough backing to bring this back!

1. Terrible Balance. Tank Rambos, insane tank respawn timers. Things just got more unfun over time.

2. Grind got worse, slow increase of price on everything across the board. Removing sales off silver coins or gold(forgot which one) also killed the fun.

3. Warbonds getting removed.

4. No maps or content, just skins, or map balance adjustments.

5. Limited clan support, no voice chat, bad support with helping the game grow.

Game just went downhill so hard. Developers had no clue what do do. Toxic community too didn't help things, clans getting into fights and members spreading lies about other members. Man, all they had to do was keep old HnG the way it was.

might as well play battlefield 1 instead

i played a bit of HG and it was pretty old fashion and good.
I watched other games similar but i found them more ...mmm fantastic in a way... the players walk too fast and all action is way too fast and that is totally unreal.
This game was pretty normal pase even if you could trololo and kill many at once it was still at a normal phase imo.
Cant make a ww2 game and add a fast phase coz its not

the video is short and its a rant but its a bit too much for me since all could be done in maybe 2 minutes saying what you have to say without adding so many weird and uninsteresting details like "she had a wedding" ...like all we care is the end result. will HG2 be released and will it be stable at least. I would enjoy this game as it was if it had real players and not 90% bots. The only new thing that i would like might be a faster progression or even better give players access to all content and just add quests and such in order to get skins, because this game might be unique since its FPS and you cant access any gun until you play shit tons of hours...
Ive spend a lot of time playing with my german guy in order to get him to buy a freaking sniper and then a bit more to get a fucking scope...yeah...the fuking sniper didnt had a scope...

Ok so someone wanted the game to become theft over players enjoying the game they should have been fired from their jobs. I played this game before I met new people and after I met new friends we played Heroes and Generals before it died from corruption and greed. I’m not sure to add lust but they wanted money for themselves history always repeats if the wrong people are in charge of anything and everything and everyone.

Time to sell my soul to the snail, I started playing enlisted and it’s way better

Isn't someone trying to reverse engineer the game to bring it back?
