I was blessed to pay cash for my son's first car. Also, had cash to pay for what was needed for his car to "be brought up to speed." That felt great to do both with no debt! To me, that 's financial freedom as well.
ОтветитьFreedom!!! We only have our mortgage left and it should be paid off in 2027😁😁😁
ОтветитьIt’s crazy expensive ! I did that for my birthday last year and spent over 1k for 3 folks
Ответить❤
ОтветитьYour jingle, how low can you go, is such a great theme. I have been doing that slowly each week with our groceries and by using generic products as much as possible, only buying what we are going to use, I have dropped our groceries by 40% I find it hard to believe. I definitely what freedom not things. You are such an inspiration, thank you xx❤
ОтветитьI receive this freedom!!
ОтветитьFreedom
ОтветитьFreedom!!❤ ❤❤
ОтветитьI am 58. To young to retire. But, I retired. I am living of 600. 00 a month. For my basics every month needs.putting back about 400.00 a month for things like house and car insurance and taxes. And emergency repairs.
Because my health and mental wellbeing was deteriorating. I have worked retail for about 40 years.
I can’t take being around crowds anymore.
I want freedom with options! Great content. Thank you ❤
ОтветитьThere are people who work their butt off for less or more pay. And there are people who do so much less and get paid so much more. It's an interesting subject to think about. Then there's some people who do not work - at all. With or without money, assistance, etc. Can you imagine.
ОтветитьI noticed that when you are young in your twenties to thirties people accumulate possessions. Once you're in your forties or older it is all about decluttering.
ОтветитьFreedom
ОтветитьSaved $7k while on social security?? No more excuses for me. Refocusiing on savings and paying down my mortgage
Ответитьnew to the channel, not sure if you've already covered this. but, recently i've gotten into canning and it's saving me so much money.
ОтветитьYou have helped me so much this past yea..
ОтветитьOff topic but your hair looks so pretty today Kate!
Yes I value freedom. In some ways I have that as debt free! But also I have ongoing medical bills, which are huge, despite people thinking health care in Australia is free! It's not free, unless u are having a heart attack. Ongoing medical expenses aren't free here.
True wealth is having more time, not having more money - or so I think. It doesn't mean I don't enjoy spending money on the things that are important to me, of course! But having time to spend with people I care about, whether we share big experiences or a simple cup of tea on a sunny afternoon together, that's more important to me than having money. It's why I chose to retire early, even though it meant I would have less money to live on than if I had worked for longer. I'd rather live a simple life and spend my time as I choose instead of working, than I would work on a job I don't love for a bit more money that I'm too exhausted to enjoy.
Because I am willing to live simply and I enjoy my simple life, I feel wealthy all the time.
I will be 57 in October all adult children left home don't need much
ОтветитьI am 57 in October rent government home live off a pension I have 12 fully funded emergency fund everything is payed for peaceful freedom
ОтветитьI am also on an intense journey to pay of the mortgage, therefore I wasn’t on vacation or bought fancy stuff in a long time. People notice and ask, why I don’t do ever something ‘nice’ for myself. I always have to smile because paying of the mortgage is the nicest thing I can do for myself. Creating freedom, choice and peace of mind. Nothing can compare to this. And I realized, that the most thing I miss and look forward to is more time, not a vacation or more stuff. 😊
ОтветитьKate, following you from Italy. It is thanks to your sound advice that I now have a financial freedom plan. Brava and grazie!
ОтветитьHow do you know those people weren't having a special occasion like you? The issue is we compare ourselves to others without knowing their situation. Maybe they work shifts and work 4 12h days, and sometimes their day off is during the weekend, but sometimes they work weekends and are off on a random Tuesday. Maybe they are on their 1 week of PTO a year. Most people don't have the freedom you talk about
ОтветитьWhat a great way to put this, buying your freedom!!Amen to that
ОтветитьLove your common sense❤️
ОтветитьFreedom is priceless, happy to hear you had a good time in Boston!!! 😍
ОтветитьFreedom!!!! I always feel the same when I visit new cities. People always seem to just be enjoying their time on random days that I also would be working!
ОтветитьKate, I wonder too when I see so many people during the day shopping or out and about, why they aren't working?
ОтветитьFreedom 🤗🥰❤️
ОтветитьYes and amen!
ОтветитьGreat video. Time is precious and stuff is just stuff!
ОтветитьYes, Kate! I have felt that way, too!❤
ОтветитьDear Kate. Before, there was no $$ left for SAVINGS.
Starting today I am leaving $99 from my $699
SSA. It feels great.
True world's 👍🥰😅❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьFREEDOM! ❤
ОтветитьThis is synchronicity as I was listening to a podcast with J L Collins yesterday about freedom being the most important thing you can buy. 'The Simple Path to Wealth' (expanded and updated) was released 5 days ago and I've started reading it. Meant to do so for ages. Have you read it? This would make an excellent book club choice 😃 Whether you're interested in retiring early or just owning a bit more of your time, this book sets out the how. Thank you, Kate, for the reminder. I've not been as aggressive in my debt payoff these past few months and this is a timely call-to-arms to keep focussed and value our most important resource - time. Your hair looks amazing, by the way! Happy weekend! 👋
ОтветитьPreach!
ОтветитьI love this. Buy freedom, not things. I'm working on getting my mortgage paid off. You are right. When you don't have all that debt around your neck, you don't have to work as much or as hard because it takes a lot less money to live your life. Especially when you retire. If all you have is your normal bills & food to buy and no debt, it really does take very little to live. You don't have to retire a millionaire if you keep your bills at a minimum. I'm glad I stumbled upon this video because now every time I pay an extra chunk to my mortgage principal, I'll say I just paid another installment to my freedom. LOL
ОтветитьOmg i wantvto know same !! How they afford the food and shopping all day in the bigger world.
ОтветитьHi katie❤I'm looking forward to when I get my freedom ❤❤❤
ОтветитьKate, your videos are so beneficial and informative. Know that you are helping so many people.
ОтветитьHi Kate always enjoy your videos. Maybe for those people it was a rare opportunity for them as well! I say that because when I have a day off sometimes I wonder why are these people not working 😂 I have to take a day off sometime and see that Titanic exhibit, I live I RI and I should have visited when it opened!!
ОтветитьFreedom
ОтветитьLove your ideas!
ОтветитьHeck yes freedom !!!! It my favorite flag waver !!!
ОтветитьI am officially debt free! Yeah!
FREEDOM!
Sounds like you need a mini staycation 💗
ОтветитьThis was a great video❤🎉
ОтветитьGood morning, Before I started watching you, my money seemed to just disappear. Now, every month, I pay myself first, extra toward principal of my home, then my monthly bills. Living this way, I will have my home completely paid off in 2 years. I bought a $10,000 CD and on average I save $1,000 each month. Would you believe I'm on social security and a teachers retirement check. So, if I can live below my means, then most anybody can do the same. Thank you for teaching me not to rely on using credit cards. I put mine away. I'm completely out of debt!!!!!
