How To Remove The Rear Seats In A MK6 GTI | Both Bench and Upper Seat Backs

You're a mind reader! I've been thinking about doing this for the summer and I assumed there would've been tons of videos on it, but now I'm glad to know there's at least one on it. Thank man!

Thanks for the how to. I used this to help me reinstall the seats that I had taken out about 4 years ago. The bench cushion was the most difficult to get back into place, but I was eventually able to coax it in.

Did you notice a difference in exhaust noise when removing the trunk liner and rear seats?

Are you able to just remove the back of the seats and leave the bench part in place ? I’m thinking of doing this on my mk7 golf r but leave the bench in place until I can get some flooring for it and just remove the back of seats from the rear ???

If the plastic tabs are too difficult to come out on the back section.. especially the outer tabs of the seat, I found it easier to lift the bottom section first to get more leverage.

With a LPFP acting up 🙄. This was an ideal tutorial to get the bench part of seat out. Ty from the 🇬🇧🇬🇧
