Has anybody noticed the SNES version reuses the same stage about 3-4 times and we didn’t notice
Ответитьriptor is a she not a he. lol its a female . it say it in the story .
ОтветитьI would love to own the arcade version of 1-2 but here in Danmark its imposible.
ОтветитьKI has the BEST music!
ОтветитьI like KI 2
ОтветитьI forgot I had the actual SNES cartridge until this video pointed out it was black.
Racist!
no one else caught that Booker T reference?!
Ответитьthis game sold more than the first 3 mortalk kombat games pu together, the quality is simply on anothel level
ОтветитьMy family were poor as shit when I was a kid. Scaling by inflation nowadays I guess dirt poor is ok as a descriptor. As a dirt poor child one year I asked Santa that for Christmas I wanted to donate my present to a family that needed it more. That morning I awoke to a letter from the man himself thanking me for my generosity and that while it wasn't the most popular game out that year he felt like I would appreciate a copy of this. And fuck was he right. True Story. Gav. 36 years old.
ОтветитьRemember this game being such a big deal and buzz on the school playground when it came out for snes, talked about just as much as mortal kombat and streetfighter
ОтветитьI love this game so much I remember the SNES version more than the arcade. I use to always do Spinal's and Cinder's Ultra combo effortlessly and then it was Thunder's and Jago's which felt more of a fluke than anything else. And i hated Eyedol and how he spammed his foot stomps regenerating life.
Ответить“ I’m a big fan of killer instinct” - uses an image of Orchid from KI2 as the thumbnail 😂
ОтветитьHow about Wargods? Did you ever play that one?
It's sort of like the older Mortal Kombat games, but with new characters and with rudimentary 3D moves introduced.
No mention about Live 95 and other events surrounding the history of this game as well as why it was absent from Japanese arcades (other games had blood or could be toned down for certain regions). I think Top Hat could do with referencing the Game Machine magazine (check Reception section for a game on Wiki) to find out how popular some other arcade games really were in the Japanese arcades that were released (only some Midway games seemed to not make it)
ОтветитьNo mention of shadow moves - one of the main changes between arcade and console
Ответитьi'd like to point out one inaccuracy:
riptor is a she. in like, all promotional materials.
I played KI in mid 90s in Belgium Arcades as a teen... those were the days! Street Fighter 2 and 3, Mortal Kombat 1-3, Killer Instinct.. all playable in the arcades! Awesome!
Ответитьkiller instinct has very good characters, interesting and diverse, love fulgor
Ответитьloved this game so much. I would spend entire days at the local fair(carnival) with only 1 or 2 coins and people lined up to play against me all day.
I kept winning (always took the left side cause I'm superstitious lol).
Man, those ultra combos, the humilities, Ultimates, no mercy's..
The kids would cry when I would stomp on them when they were turned into a frog.
(yes of course I played like Orchid as a 10 year old :D)
Never could get into MK though, the game seemed slow and boring and couldn't get the moves right.
KI all the way!
I loved Killer Instinct, the story, the characters, the music, the graphics everything! It is such a great game! The black cartridge, and it came with the soundtrack CD! I mean their character stories, designs and moves are so good too great video man!
ОтветитьKiller instinct was the first ever video game I have ever played and I was born in 2002
ОтветитьThe answer Is : yes of couse and SNES conversion Is incredible
ОтветитьTop5 most legendary fighting game ever killer instinct 1
ОтветитьI liked KI snes but man KI GOLD on 64 was my shit as a kid
ОтветитьGreatest fighting game ever
Ответитьyeah. RARE was the only reason the N64 lasted as long as it did.
ОтветитьOne of the best games ever!!. Killer combos was insane!!
ОтветитьAw man you didn't mention that Sabrewulf is a nod to the Sabrewulf/Sabreman games from the 80s by Rare precursor Ultimate Play the Game!
ОтветитьI was a master at this game. I used to count the combo hits to know when to hit the next linker....so I could start a combo and I would look at my opponent and finished out the other 20 hits in a 22 hit combo lol. I could shut off the cabinet with a button combo with Riptor (I think). I could also make it do stutter enders, it would do the first hit then instead of doing the full linker I would only let it hit once and then go into an ender. The result would be a slow motion end combo that took about 7 seconds lol. I could also do unlimited combos(99+)with cinder and eyedol.
Tj combo could do a Sutter ultra that sent the opponent flying away in the middle of the ultra in slow motion while TJ hits nothing.
But the best was a shadow ultra....
I hated KI 2...the characters and visuals weren't good, they looked worse than KI.
KI is still my favorite fighting game! Hearing the announcer scream ULTRAAAA COOMMBOO always brings a smile on my face.
Ответитьbest fighting game
ОтветитьAh yes. Back when Nintendo actually embraced the bleeding edge and were the top dog.
ОтветитьFatals of ki isn't that brutal to demonetize video probably
ОтветитьThank you for the nostalgia buzz. Great writin.
Ответитьthe combo systems sucked me in. Forever.
ОтветитьI remember how we all tried to replicate glitches to reach 80-hits combos..... and even more, over 81+ in KI2 arcade cabinets. GOLD OLD TIMES....
ОтветитьI remember first seeing this in the arcade… the graphics blew me away! I didn’t realize it was a frame by frame movie background at the time, I thought the Ultra 64 was just that powerful to 3D model and animate that in real time. I was super pumped about the Ultra 64’s graphical capabilities….. it almost set the bar too high for when the N64 did come out. But Mario 64 was so goo I didn’t care.
ОтветитьSpinal is the Best.
ОтветитьI was just playing this last night, it's still one of my favorite fighting games of all time👊
ОтветитьEveryone else played this in an arcade, i played it on my snes. Used to love this game
ОтветитьMy best memory has to be playing it on SNES with my cousin, and his brother, being my older cousin, who was an avid local industrial band leader. We loved the built in soundtrack to the game but you should know how amazingly it pairs with a good Skinny Puppy album
Ответитьlove the booker t referance
ОтветитьMy first videogame. Good times.
ОтветитьKI was the first fighting game that put a dent in Mortal Kombat's massive popularity back in the 90's
ОтветитьKI always had the most awesome music. The key art for the characters however aged poorly.
ОтветитьKiller instinct > all other fighting games
Ответитьmy older bro was a monster with jago. 120 hit Ultra combos when we were kids at the arcades.
ОтветитьI've got hundreds of hours clocked with KI. absolutely loved it. pleased to hear rumours that a new one is in production for Switch2
Ответить
