I would drive it until the wheels fell off.
ОтветитьI'm glad to hear that he's finally figuring out that he's not really been enjoying it just using it as a shine. Now he can make More memories and show it to those as he said "Many younger people don't even know a car like this existed". So now he can show it to them and teach them about it. He doesn't have to sell it just because people can see it or just because people ask if he will sell it. Say "No thank you". Done and done.
ОтветитьYou know his kids are going to sell it within 48 hours of his passing...
ОтветитьWonder if that’s a mouse house on the ps floor
ОтветитьDo I know thugs started stripping my Chevelle in 90s and I got em away
ОтветитьLeave as is trailer to. Corvette. Museum and show it
Ответить70fh anniversary next year. Worth it to get secure. Garage
ОтветитьCall jay Leno to get it started
ОтветитьGuys like this will NEVER restore this car.
ОтветитьI’ve had hundreds of cars over my life time, and some of them have been almost like a part of me however, I will never understand the juxtaposition of some fellas who find a car that means so much to them, a family heirloom at that, yet take such horrible care of it, and let it rot away Instead of enjoying it or using it or giving it to another family member. And when this nice man passes away, his family will probably sell it immediately because they had no bond with it.
I will never understand that rationale 😢
Kinda of a waste but it belongs to this man, and he can do whatever he wants with it. Don't think it will get any worse looks like it is in a dry garage that's all that counts.
Ответитьbobs a hoarder not a collector
ОтветитьHope he got it out and sorted it OR IF he didn't that he DOES IT NOW! Its a travesty having that sitting there!
MAKE MEE MEMORIES WITH THE KIDS WITH IT! - Thats a connection to the kids & grandkids that COULD build a connection with them and enjoy it again PROPERLY with THEM! -(Instead of them just selling it when he passes away for the money!) I CANNOT understand letting it sit and rot away like that, if you want to keep it, fine! Bit FFS, WHY let ot rot away!? That's NOT respecting the Parents memory who bought it in forat place! They'd say ffs look after it! Im sure...
YES!!. Get it running and drive it. It doesnt do any good standing there. I really dont see the point having any collectors car if it doesnt get used. You might as well have a picture of it on your living room wall then. DRIVE it, enjoy it.
ОтветитьBe nice to drive it leave it to grand kids but have days out in the sun with them first thats living
ОтветитьMice love coverd wires if they have nothing else.....😂
ОтветитьIt would be Awesome if he would allow someone to clean up the shed, Take car out fully detail and get her going again for him.
ОтветитьI know where there is another one in a Mississippi old garage. Same deal. Has not moved since the 1960’s and covered with an inch of dust and dirt. Lady is elderly and I am politely keeping her informed that I want to get it to someone who will restore it.
ОтветитьGet it back on the road
ОтветитьWaste of a Corvette. Get it together, lazy man.
ОтветитьClean up that pile os $hit.
ОтветитьHis father bought him the car to see him happy with it, so in return he will keep it in the dust and dirt till he dies and let them fight over it. selfish.
ОтветитьHi Bob, An elderly Lady told me once when your to old to dream then there is no life.. I hope you never stop dreaming Bob, Our world has changed,,It's sad knowing we only have memories to remind us, Your dream is this car your Dad bought you.,,, It is a gift that keeps on giving, Bob I know you will never sell this car,, it is not the money, it is part of your childhood days, Bob If I lived close to you I would share a tear or two with you,, God Bless you Bob, Thanks for sharing your life with us,,
ОтветитьLet someone restore it. There are people who will love it. Show the world the beauty.😊
ОтветитьAnother what I call a pipe dreamer... Holding on to the past so it decays into the ground...Just sell it...
ОтветитьMan what a great story and a great car! I love videos like this.
ОтветитьSeriously flexing there ol’ Bob. What good is it leaving it for the rodents to chew up and piss on? Drive it man !!
ОтветитьI don't have a problem with guys who hang on to their cars because they have sentimental value to them. I have a problem with people who can't maintain a classic car any more, so they leave it sitting outside and let it rot away. That's not sentimental value, nor is it showing respect for something you supposedly cherish. That's what makes me mad. If you can't protect it from the elements, you need to sell it. I just hope someone in his family can get it out and help him get it up and running again before he's gone.
ОтветитьI fully understand your passion to keep the car. I don't understand why you letting it sit in a garage and let it deteriorate away. What a waste.
ОтветитьI have a neighbor down the hill from me ? The guy is in his early nineties? He’s got some good cars , a beautiful custom made cooking wagon ? I asked Him many years ago do you want to sell the boat ? No! How about the cooking trailer I no somebody that would like to Buy It ? No , everything he owns is just deteriorating, And this Guy with the corvette ? Are you going to take it with you ??? I don’t think so , Donate it to a Museum , have them keep the car stock , let other people enjoy what they have dreamed of ??I have another friend , he and his wife never went on a vacation, never spent a dime, she passed this year? He has six car stashed all over town , owns three houses , no kids , will not sell anything , no will ? He’s ailing, Guess where everything is going to go ??? You’re right , back to the Government. Give what you have to a Good Cause ! Thanks to everyone out there that still has a Brain in there Head .
ОтветитьI hope this man keeps his car for as long as he wants.
That said, it's unfortunate that he didn't put a couple of good tarps over the car to avoid all of that dust buildup.
A beautiful car!!🙏
ОтветитьI like Bob
ОтветитьWonderful car with some wonderful history!
ОтветитьNice car. It's a keeper.
ОтветитьI get the sentimental attachment, however his claim that it is safe is not true. If he kept the car clean, did routine maintenance, or at least turn over the engine periodically; then I would say he could claim safe. As it is now, the car is just slowly deteriorating.
ОтветитьNice fella. Highly organized
ОтветитьWow… LOVE THIS old Sled…❤️👍🏻❤️
Your dad must’ve loved you a lot…..👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️
$600.00 on the Title…!
SOLD……..!
I love the idea that the doors were beer, coolers…😹😹😹😹👍🏻
ОтветитьBeautiful car and story
Ответитьcool car. But you know with all the clues in this video that the car buyers will track down where this car is.
ОтветитьNot sure if he got it back on the road. I would focus on that. Glad it was kept and memories intact.
ОтветитьPeople that do this are fools of the highest order. Letting a high-value car just sit and rot is the pinnacle of folly.
ОтветитьBe pulling that old girl out giving her a bumper to bumper cleaning going through everything with a fine-tooth comb and put her out in the light of day and drive her again and enjoy it, I inherited my uncles 1970 Chevelle SS 396 back in 1984 and he was the original owner bought it June 1970 in Amarillo Texas still have the car and I'm 56 going on 57 take care of her and I still driver and I get constant bombardment of people wanting to buy it wanting to buy it it will never get rid of this family heirloom because of the settlement of value in history of it, there is no excuse just to park this beauty and not let it get out and flex its legs time to time
ОтветитьI hope you still got the wire wheels and take those kids to the prom and you need to be driving this car
ОтветитьWOW A GREAT FIND. IF HE EVER DOES SOME THING WITH IT I HOPE YOU DO A FOLLOW UP. THANKS 🎉
ОтветитьWhat are/is the "BOTH", which you mention in the title?
Touching video. Don't blink, life goes faster than you think.
If he's not going to drive the car he should at least wear the jacket
ОтветитьI have my pappaws 1972 nova he was hastled my whole life by people wanting to buy it …. He never ever had any interest of selling it. I know he got the car out of a chicken coupe and fully rebuilt it in the 90s and my whole life I grew up wanting the car… it mostly sat over the years. I got to partially learn to drive in it and have so many memeories of growing up around and in the car ….. sadly my grandpa passed and my mammaw sold the car …. It made me very angry as I know pappaw wanted me to have the car or he’d had sold it before he passed. It took me two years but I got it back and I’ll NEVER let it go. I don’t even have half the time of memories yet into the nova but I still fully understand! I’m 28 years old and look forward to 50 years of having this car in my possession ❤
ОтветитьThey are real classics, but being an old guy myself it reminds me nothing material is for ever .
