Iowa State University Campus Band - "Festivo" by Vaclav Nelhybel

I remember performing this in high school about 30 years ago! I still remember playing at this fast tempo and barely keeping up with the conductor/teacher! I was bass clarinet, so I enjoyed having the bass part. It was so much fun!

I love Nelhybel’s ending. It left the audience hanging. Nice job Iowa State University Campus Band.

Wait, was he conducting ON THE BEAT? Nelhybel is rolling in his grave. 😉

Did this tune in high school in 1972. Great piece, esp for me, the tympani player!!
