Question: How do yall cover the holes once you've picked the crop from it?
ОтветитьNice videos! Just using fabric this year for the first time. I assume you dont rollm it up at the end of season with your tub planters on top. My question is: How do apply fertilizer and lime over the fabric. I usually apply early season 5/10/5 or... Later i go to a general Peters liquid feed .How would the granules of a rock type fertilizer dissolve? Thanks!
ОтветитьThis is helpful
ОтветитьCan you please tell me the brand weed fabric that your using thank you
ОтветитьApril 1 zone 3 We still have the ultimate weed barrier - snow!😂
ОтветитьCould you alaborate on your reasons / experience as to the gaps sizes between raised beds?
ОтветитьQuestions: Do your chickens peck through it? Would you recommend cardboard underneath it to prevent sticks from poking up through it? What about cardboard on top for walking on it; necessary or not? How do you repair holes? Thank you so much! Great video.
ОтветитьGOOD Info You Answered Most Of All My Questions.
ОтветитьWhat 2 do when you have holes from plants that you have planted.
ОтветитьJust adding plastic to our environment and microplastics to our bodies.
ОтветитьThanks for the information. How are you attaching the weed fabric over your raised beds?
ОтветитьMicroplastics?
ОтветитьQ- can I put rocks on top of it?
Ответитьno worry about plastic ?????
ОтветитьI bought this because of your recommendation and glad I did. Recently I put in 2 new beds that total 15 garden beds that I'm using this on here in Northern Utah . Thank you!
ОтветитьNew to the idea, is fake grass over the cover a bad idea?
ОтветитьI've seen weeds germinate in gravel... even concrete. Plus when the fabric does wear down you ahve to remove all that rock first to get underneath. No thanks i'll stick with mulch...
ОтветитьWhere did yall get your raised beds from and how about the price
ОтветитьI bought the fabric and staples. Laid it all out with overlap. I was curious so I poured a pitcher of water on there but it just sat on top of the fabric. Will I have to hand water each plant once I make holes and install plants? My next thing is to check out a Torch to purchase
ОтветитьToo bad vegetables don't grow like weeds
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAlso the fabric should be over lapped
ОтветитьThese are some big chickens playing in the back!
ОтветитьAwesome video thanks
ОтветитьHave you tried grains like oats or wheat through a membrane?
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьThis stuff is worth every penny. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьIf you don’t put holes in it how to you plant?
ОтветитьAnyone else have issues with water? Does not seem to go through this fabric. Mine has puddles
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьThank u that was a lot of info to my constant back pain I have visited your links to buy blowtorch etc.
ОтветитьExcellent ! I learned sooooooooooooooooo much !!!
Ответитьdo you leave it down during snowy winters? Then you can't till the ground?
ОтветитьYes, I made all those mistakes, except now fixing it has become a terrible burden.
ОтветитьCould you put a little weed killer on the dirt on top of the barrier.
ОтветитьYou explained it well..... thank you... may you grow beautiful food.
ОтветитьWhat do you do with the plant holes ion between planting?
ОтветитьWow that was extremely helpful. im planning to use fabric in my garden for the first time and you just told me everything i need to know to not learn the hard way for the next 5 years. thank you so much for sharing this!!!
ОтветитьU guys have a link for the fabric?
ОтветитьThanks so much for these helpful tips.
Would you recommend for me to till before i lay the fabric to prevent weeds ir grass from growing? I know you mentioned to wait a bit for the soil to harden before applying
I bought the weed fabric that you mentioned and guess what weeds are growing through it but I didn't know that there was a difference in the oz. So I have ordered a heavier oz today. There's a bad case of Johnson grass Going on in my garden area. Someone told me I could use a flamethrower and burn it and that way I don't have to use chemicals to spray it
ОтветитьWhat do you think about the green indoor outdoor carpet To put over The weed barrier if someone doesn't want to see the weed barrier? Could you still use the leaf blower to clean the dirt off of it ?
Ответить'Back to Eden' method is the best. You must have not put down enough chips.
ОтветитьI bought a 12’ roll, 1000’ long of this when I did a Hardscapes driveway at my parent’s house back in 2008. I sourced it from a rental yard that specialized in paving equipment/materials. Since then, the remaining roll has sat outside in the sun, under decks, behind sheds, and weathered freezing winters- and I STILL use it. It’s not hard or brittle, and shows no signs of degradation. I suspect you’ll get FAR more than 10 years out of it. Unfortunately I don’t know the weight of it (this was classified as DOT spec’d highway road base fabric)- but I do think it may make a difference.
ОтветитьI just ordered a bunch of woven weed barrier. Can I lay it down over my St Augustine grass, or do I have to remove the lawn first?
Ответить👍
ОтветитьYOU GUYS DON'T HAVE A CLUE !! HOLY MOLLY ...WHAT A WASTE OF GEO TEXTILE FABRIC !! ALSO FYI THAT FABRIC DOES NOT DRAIN MUCH AT ALL !! 10% AT BEST !!! ALL THAT BLACK CHEM IS GOING TO BAKE YOUR SOIL AND AD TOXIC CHEMICALS TO THE AIR AND SOIL !!
IF YOU WANT TO GARDEN YOU NEED TO WORK YOUR ASS OFF !!!! WEED , PLOW ROWS ,, TURN SOIL !! YOUR ALMOST AS BAD AS THESE MILLENNIALS WITH THEIR " DRY POUR " FOR CONCRETE !!!! WTF !! NO EASY WAY BUT HARD WORK !!! NO QUICK FIX TO FARMING OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER !! GOOD LUCK CHAMPS YOUR GOING TO NEED IT !!!!!
Great advice Thank you!_ Btw' Maybe get a Pint of Truck Bed Liner'Touch Up' in White' easier to See_ and Dip the Staples in to Coat them _ Now They'll Never Rust and Bend each Tip Up at 45° Angle-They'll Grip the Soil and Liner More Greatly! Wish you all Peace and Prosperity!🍀🖖Peace
ОтветитьI have had good luck with weed fabric. Lately I have been using cardboard because I have a great source for very large pieces. In April I had laid an old bed sheet aside that I had used to prevent frost damage during a brief cold snap. Anyway, when I finally moved the old sheet there was no weeds underneath. Have you or any of your subscribers ever used old bed sheets for weed control? I enjoy your channel.
