I love how the old geezers are messing with each other. I like the lengthy battle of wits. It reminds how elders should be respected for their wisdom.

All this time we see the emperor scheming and having very sneaky plans like using FX to get rid of Prime Minister instead of firing him at court. Afterall he is the main villain and I hope to see something like Cornelius from Hunger Games’ sequel. He is just so different compared to all the other emperors I’ve seen in other dramas. I really want to see what goes through the emperor’s minds and his past…basically him as the main character 😊😊 It’d be cool to see his lifestyle and what kind of environment he grew up in (including the problems he faced) that made him the person he was in the dramas.

I love these wird duels, wrapped in ceremonious language: it's incredible how Ernest Bramah hit off these circumlocutions in his "Kai Lung" stories!

This drama is getting so boring. I remembered the first one has a lot of good exciting fighting scene. The second season almost end and there is barely any fighting.

I have 3 questions that hopefully will get answers from audience who love this cdrama. 1. Who is Xiao En grandson really..in season 1, Xiao En thought he was Fan Xian, but fan Xian knows he is not and that’s when it was revealed that fan Xian is the emperor’s son…2. Who is shadow, Chen ping ping’s bodyguard and who are his parents and where he came from. 3. Who is Yan Bingyun’s biological parents? I seem to have read in a comment in the beginning of the season 2 that his father now is not the biological father…thanks for the answers..

Are the black knights protecting him so he can go to the eldest princess safely...only Chen pingping can order the black knights and the Emperor..so, everyone then are Emperors puppet? 😂 I guess the elders are so tired of it that they all want to retire and leave it to the young ones....😢
