I've seen so many brands come and go throughout the course of the last 20 years.. Even ones with heavy networking and connections. Shit even lil Wayne had a temporarily successful street wear brand that eventually fell off.

Dude you’re taking it like a champ- exactly the way you should- I think he blessed you because I wouldn’t know anything about you without you making this video- you got the chance to lay it all out- it is corny unless you are in your 30s 40s and life has worn you down to a nub- you look at the world differently- I was exactly like gifted hater when I was that age- the most opinionated mother fucker possible and I have lived to eat a lot of my words but I respect his approach and what he is doing for skateboarding- keeping it honest and you’ve got your roll too

Sometimes you have to be honest with yourself if you want to progress. Your brand right now is trash. I can find better quality shirts with the word Friday plastered on the front on Amazon, and there's no culture there to compensate for the lack of creative substance. Your philosophy behind the brand is nice, but it's not cool, and we want cool. The reason Fridays feel like Fridays is because there are Mondays and Sundays too. I get that deep down it's about autonomy and excitement, but there are better ways to build a brand off those values, and much better things to name the brand and to put onto shirts. Also, the skate world does not need another shopify apparel company. That is the last thing we need.
You obviously care a lot. Regroup and move on. Wait for an idea that you just can't stand to keep in, then act on it with intense focus. This one has holes, massive ones, and it's not worth your time, money, or potential. The only reason to not admit failure here is ego. You are the man, you'll figure out something new and much better, and that will be how you find success. Don't hold yourself back.
