I received a syn gates schecter years ago in a Gator zip sturdy case. I wouldn’t call it a hardshell. Some hard shells are really good and durable but still it looks tacky to not have a box. Nice axe!

Not the worst I’ve seen. I bought a Stromberg semi hollowbody. The dude threw it in a 24”x24” boxes loose with packing peanuts (not enough to stop it from moving or even come close to filling the box, then he taped another box of the same size to the top so that when it was upright it rested on the headstock of the guitar. When it was in the side it was like an accordion. It was basically the worst way they could have done it. Miraculously it made it.

Imagine being the dude that sent this guitar terribly wrapped and seeing this guy open it man I’d have a 24/7 sweat until the grave

Back in the day you had the Jackson "professional" and "performer" models. Definitely remember those. My first "professional" was a Jackson Stealth back in like 95? Loved that guitar. Got lucky and it already had EMGs in it. Spawned my love of EMG81s too. Every guitar I own now but one (Dean Dime Slime Stealth) have EMGs Remember taking it out of the case when I got it and just starring at it for hrs. Couldnt believe I actually owned it. 😆🤘

I got one at Guitar center when i was a teenager. I bought it with money i earned from my first job. I eventually sold it to pay for my car and I should have kept it and sold the car instead. I'm so happy for you and glad you got one. Still the best guitar I ever owned. Wish I had it back.

You could always just raise the pickups to increase the gain, make them louder, and also more responsive...

I remember getting my first 'real' guitar. I was 14, parents were paying, and it came down to a Jackson Rhoads like this, and the Ibanez AX320H (basically an Artist series). I didn't understand how to play a V sitting down, and my parents convinced me to go with the Ibanez, because they said Rhoads will just keep slipping off my knee and annoy me.

I still found my way to metal, but I'd have got there in much more style if I'd gone with my gut and bought the Rhoads.

I'm 17 and I got a Jackson js32 dinky as my second and newest guitar and I love it to bits as long as the floyd rose doesn't poop out on me. Kind wish I got a Rhoads but great excuse I mean reason to buy another Jackson. Speaking of Jacksons how would the js32t or any jackson without a floyd rose handle between A standard tuning and Drop B tuning?

I could play some Slayer riffs if you don't mind....................... 😐 Who ever minds that?!?! hahahaha

UPS is DOGSHT i ordered an all metal keyboard stand that was expensive and heavy duty and they slammed it into the ground so hard at some point that i had to get tools out to get the feet unwedged out from inside itself. Mind you theyre supposed to slide out the plastic on the end of the feet was shaved off and inside the tube i rests in to the point where it broke off both screws holding the plastic ends on like wtf dude did you drop it from a 10 story building? The entire end of the box was crushed so i should have known. I was actually off work that day as i heard them essentially throw it against my brick apartment and my truck was parked on the street so they probably didnt think i was home dude was lucky he got back in his truck so fast i didnt know wtf was going on thought the irs was at my door or some sht.
