I think you're mistaken. Illusions as stealth spells can do a lot. And 14th lvl ability. You can capture some one in mithril cage. Create one way mirrors and attack at a advantage. You can do a lot with buffet up illusions.

I commented once early. And then I sat and watched your whole series. It's clear to me that "Mind Flayer Slayer" has no regard for any spell list, or feature in the game that isn't directly connected to doing or mitigating damage in combat. And that is beared out in the fact that your tier rankings are so VASTLY different than any consensus of the community. Again, love the fun and dynamic presentation. But the opinions on some of the most powerful support and utility and out of combat aspects of the game is hard to get past.

I think this one is the first one I completely disagree with you on.

Now, I get that the DM is probably more important for how well the Illusionist plays compared to any other subclass in the game, but as long as the DM is decent, illusionist is super strong. The stuff creative players will be able to do with this sub class will be crazy.

Would really love to see videos about the viability of older sub classes that weren’t included in the 2024 players handbook. do they stack up against your ratings for the new and updated subclasses? Are any of them still better than the new and updated subclasses?

I'm very curious about the sorlock blaster build. Please make some. Both the new sorcerer and warlock look awesome and the blaster is my favorite fantasy role.
