sir do all mutual funds follow the same formula to calculate the momentum score. I mean if I have invest say momentum 30 nifty 200. Can I select any mutual fund and it will give me same result ... like index fund....except some points of tracking error or expense ratio difference ?

Started investing about an year ago in large, mid and small cap index funds, with an initial lumpsum and sips there after. Still in the positive after the correction. Stepped up the sip's considerably for this year hoping to make the most of this correction. I am looking at a 10 year horizon. Hopefully will turn out well in the long term.

I was 22% exposed to the market. Today I bought another 12% worth of HUL and Asian Paints. Now I have, 34% in equity, 30% in Gold and 36% in Debt. Will slowly keep buying equity as the market gets cheaper. The reason for buying HUL and asian paints is because of diversification from my normal momentum strategies. I wanted some low beta stocks as well and HUL provides a good hedge along with smallcases..

I Hit 110k today. Thank you for all the knowledge and nuggets you had thrown my way over the last months. Started last month. Financial education is indeed required for more than 70% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. thanks to Natalie Brunell for helping me achieve this..
