I remember getting an ad for a mobile game about the anime Bleach, and the ad started with Ichigo choosing to help either Orihime or I think Rangiku, which was being done in a way like, "You wanna bone her or her?"

It's Bleach. They don't need to lower themselves to do that kind of ad.

Funnily enough, every other ad I got for it showed ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. Ya know, like ads are SUPPOSED to do.

Honestly, I was expecting Mighty Number 9 to be number 1. The only reason I didn't think of mobile games is because of how heavily I disassociate them with gaming in my head.

The family N64 had died. I was so excited to get Diddy Kong DS. I booted it up. Aw, okay well yeah there's gonna be issue with a handheld- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SON TIMBER. And so I was motivated to finally begin retro collecting and now I'm resting on a wonderful collection others drool at.

The only one I really disagree with was Minecraft Story Mode though I get why it's here. Let's just say I'd take this over the upcoming live action film, while I don't actually hate that too.

To give some credit to Silver Dollar Games, they at least found their niche and money maker soon after with One Finger Death Punch. And that game is... well, actually a GAME. And a damn good one at that - good enough to warrant a PC release AND a sequel.

I used to have a big collection of Tiger Electronic devices from Burger King and thought they were pretty entertaining. I didn't know they were based off of the Game & Watch until several years later. When smash bros brawl came along I noticed the flat zone stage and was like "Oh so that's what they were inspired by. That's pretty cool."
I feel oddly nostalgic for those devices I used to own but now they're just laid to rest in my brain because there's better stuff for entertainment

Not saying he's wrong, but with the Minecraft movie coming out, perhaps Minecraft Story Mode will be seen in a more positive life

If people really want romance and sideways tangos with substance, don't settle for #9. Just go play visual novels and dating sims. 9 times out of 10, people actually have personalities to speak of and some are actually really funny. Not to mention the people tend to actually love each other before and after sideways tangos.

Oh I definitely disagree with #8 though. Compared to the garbage looking film of Minecraft coming out, Story Mode at least looks like the game. I actually really enjoyed both seasons.

I adored battle For Bikini Bottom, the Monster's Inc and Treasure Planet games are passable especially considering the low bar in general and the hardware used. That Lilo and Stich game on I guess Gameboy or something doesn't look cheeks visually. But omg most licensed games really are the lowest common denominator, boring, broken, stupid hard for no reason, stupid easy for no reason, or sometimes all of the above at one time. Also love the whole Wreck-It Ralph quote corruption with "connect fork in the wall socket." Added to the list of some of my favorite quotes from your videos (which is a long list because you really make verbose humor look easy when it's formatted in a finished video.)

Number 1 really hit me, having played Clash of Clans and the like back in middle and high school. Of course I tend to stick to more Nintendo mobile games like Pokémon Go and Fire Emblem Heroes these days, because I would prefer those games, over all the sloppy "games" that mobile gaming brought.

The worst ones for me are the "free to plays".
Not the actual free to play games, where you download it for free, very little if any ads, and the chance to get extra in game currency being an OPTION that you can actually choose to take or not and you won't get punished for not doing so, those games are great(I'm partial to Twisted Wonderland personally~).

The games I speak are the ones that have you download them for free...and then lock progression of any kind behind a paywall of any kind(whether it'd be paying irl money for in game currency to move along, or watching an ad as more ads means more money for the devs), and even have the nerve to strongarm you into doing either one!
You wanna open a new spot to not lose the level and start from the beginning, even if you're right at the end and then get stuck? Either pay real cash for our only in game currency or watch a 30 second demo ad that let's you have a few moves and then sends you to the app store to download THAT game the second you're having fun! Wanna pick the actual good option that gets you the ending or path you actually want? Pay up or watch an ad! Wanna have this powerup that you legit cannot properly and effectively play the game without? Pay up or watch an ad to have it for a SHORT TIMEFRAME AND THEN LOSE IT WHEN YOU DESPERATELY NEED IT!

Number 1 just makes me think one question: what the FAWKING FUCK HAPPENED TO THE ACTUAL MOBILE GAMES?! You know, Angry Birds, PvZ, Cut the Rope, you know the ACTUAL games to play mobily?! Guess fun, innovation, and accessibility just doesn't mix anymore because THEY'RE IN THE SAME HELL AS ALL THE OTHERS NOW!!! Ads, P2P, "free" gaming.

And to quote a certain chortle and fury haver. "So, instead of being known and loved as who you are, you turn to shameless imitation for the sake of LESS EFFORT?!" Ahhhh Mobile games, for people that dont game and dont know what quality is.

There are only exclusive examples of good mobile games and I’m not talking about the ones that are Mobile versions of PC or computer games. and the count of these games mostly consist of games that were prevalent 10 years ago. Granted there are some good examples like OCTOPATH travelers that are of this generation, but. The Martian is still slim. And it seems to be getting worse.🫠

The phillips CD-I bit only has one thing I wanna clarify: Some sources say that Nintendo went behind Sony's back because the deal Sonic signed with them was....let's just say "economically moronic", involving games released on the Nintendo Playstation.
