Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this beautiful video. Just one thing to add: algae are not necessarily bad and are often misunderstood. In fact, they are important to the ecosystem. They clean the water by absorbing nutrients and waste, provide oxygen to the water, and serve as a food source for many aquatic organisms, including fish. Too much algae means the water has too much nutrients.
ОтветитьMaybe I missed it somewhere -- which spring is this?
ОтветитьAren’t you concerned about Naegleria Fowleri? How do you know which waters are safe
Ответитьfish
ОтветитьThis was an amazing video to learn from, but does make me sad. I hope there are ways to help these springs, and just - everything. this was still beautiful to see all the animals that are still finding a way to survive, but i hope it gets better for them
ОтветитьReading through the comments I noticed that you've mentioned making the music yourself. It's beautiful, man.
ОтветитьI've been swimming in that spring since the early 1980s. The flow is rarely that low. I suspect it has been abruptly slowed recently.
ОтветитьAs someone majoring in environmental science, i get asked all the time if i want to work in marine bio. And while the ocean is cool, this is what i'm passionate about- freshwater ecosystems are the unsung and underappreciated beauties of our planet and we depend on them for so much, yet they often experience the worst of our pollution and development. I hope to be able to work to conserve and restore places like this some day- they need people to speak up for them like you do.
ОтветитьSwimming in an open body of water in Florida...?
ОтветитьIt's too man made to be healthy. Needs natural trees and logs and rocks for critters to make homes
ОтветитьWas this the one people use to trained to get their diving license
ОтветитьGlad you snorkeled in one of the local springs, I recognized it just from the first b-rolls lmaoo. I work at one of the local airports and this is one of my go-to’s!
Ответитьfound a few of your videos and have been thoroughly enjoying them. keeps me from rewatching blue planet ii literally 10x over and over to fulfill my need for beautiful underwater footage with calm commentary!! thank you!!!!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your incredible work with us! I look forward to all of your videos!
ОтветитьBro looked exactly like Aaron Rodgers in the beginning
ОтветитьGreat stuff. Nice to find.
ОтветитьSadly Nature is always changing brotha
ОтветитьCan you tell us where you are?
ОтветитьFrom pointless bipartisan banter that does little more than divide, to completely ruining entire ecosystems for shareholder stock to go up half a point…. Our world is dying.
It isn’t ours anymore.. it’s theirs.
I often freedive in the springs around central florida, it's nice to learn some of the names of the aquatic life I see there regularly
ОтветитьI’ve just gotta say man you’re my #1 watch for while I’m eating
Ответитьi’m an environmental science student at daytona state. biology and botany has always been a passion of mine, and being born and raised in florida only makes it better. florida is such a beautiful state with the most incredible ecosystems and it’s so sad seeing springs i used to have fun in get more and more polluted and neglected. thank you so much for spreading awareness on our suffering springs.🌿🦎❤️
ОтветитьBeautiful, impactful footage. Amazing job.
Ответитьthis video made me feel emotional, idk why.
Ответитьso much hair algae
ОтветитьThe wild thing, is with combined modern and traditional farming techniques.... there is no reason to use fertilizer at all.
ОтветитьIt damn near seems like every other wild animal in Florida is an invasive animal.
Edit: may I ask what type of camera you use to film this video? The picture looked really clear.
that spit bro, cmon on ngga. im eatin
Ответитьnot much to see but you make the video so well it felt more
ОтветитьIm a fish keeper and i like this natural aquascape so relaxing and peaceful, i wish my goldfish has this beautiful and natural aquascape
ОтветитьHey there! I was born and raised in FL& one of the things I loved most about it was the environment. It is easily one of the most beautiful states, having moved away 5 years ago, I miss it every day. I grew up swimming in its beautiful rivers and breath taking springs in the panhandle. I love that old Florida feel with the mossy oak trees and bald cypress, and I am convinced Tallahassee is one of the most beautiful cities in the way that it has preserved some of that beauty. I grew up swimming in Blue Springs in Marianna FL, and if you ever get a chance, you should definitely dive there!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video - it’s heartbreaking to see but necessary to expose
ОтветитьVery unique channel, keep it up
ОтветитьI did reports on those pleco they are impossible to remove fully.
ОтветитьI did nitrogen sampling at gemini springs Florida and it was shocking even then. I moved to Virginia where they take care of their lands. Since 1998 Republicans have been in charge. Fwcs board is all developers or developer friendly. Something needs to be done on all sides.
ОтветитьWonderful work, man. I love looking at underwater landscapes like these, but I'm terrified of going in there myself. Thank you for showing us what you're seeing! And for your commentary! I'm a freshwater aquarium hobbyist, so I feel it's so important to see the impacts of agricultural activities on these ecosystems. I have so many thoughts that I don't think I can share them all. Good job.
Ответитьyou can collect the algae and sell it to farmers as fertilizer.
that way you can clean up the spring and make some money from it.
Great work 🫡 Also my dad was a diver he also would use spit in his masks..
ОтветитьHow come no one takes a pool skimmer to rake up that algae?
ОтветитьSo, florida is where the gators are right? Are they only in certain spots or how do you know there are no gators there? No way you'd ever catch me swimming in NT in australia.
ОтветитьPOV pollution was never a thing.
ОтветитьThat reminds me of a rapids swimming area I go to.
People were trashing it, pulling up saplings and leaving cans everywhere.
The owners blocked the road in, so you have to walk.
A year later the rocks are covered in alge and the grass grew back. It was so much prettier just because people who like to trash places also dont like to walk.
Same with no wake lakes. They are always beautiful.
oh, another hipster
Ответитьpleco is pronounced pleh-co not play-co
