Can someone check my math? it seems like (GRAMS REMOVED/WHEEL LOSS)/PRICE = diablo is the winner.
ОтветитьWe all need to take a minute and appreciate the complex work he puts into these Rube Goldberg machines so people like us don’t get ripped off…😂 Thanks man, words can’t even describe how much I love this channel and how far it’s came along.
ОтветитьIf you happen to conduct this test again with updated grinding wheels, please include 4-1/2'' CC-GRIND®-SOLID - 7/8" A.H. SGP INOX VICTOGRAIN®-COOL.
I think you'll find you won't ever buy any other type of wheel again. Thanks
Test the respirators and their filters.
ОтветитьHonestly, the harbor freight wheel did really well considering it's price
ОтветитьAs a professional welder, (me) you forgot the wheel of choice of every professional. The 3M cubitron wheel!
ОтветитьHey mate! Have you considered reviewing angle grinder sanding discs? 3M cubitron is the king, but is very expensive. Just looking for a good alternative thanks
ОтветитьGreat Vid as always (IMHO)
I'd still would like, to kno,
How or if, the thickness of the wheel, possibily relates, to shattered disk prevention.
The warrior would be my pick any day, steel removed is not far from the top.
And considering you can get 6 wheels for the same price as 1 norton, individualy the norton wins but i could definitely make 6 decent wheels last longer than 1 outstanding wheel.
What if I need to prioritize thermals? Theoretically I'd need a wheel that does lose material faster. "Soft". What brand and model would you recommend?
ОтветитьI want to know whick Angle Grinder wheel is specifically for cutting thick Aluminum?
ОтветитьI love your presentation!!! Thanks!!!
ОтветитьFor me, I want to take material off fast, most of the wheels I've used are too hard, sure they last a long time, but they're too much work.
I'll give up life expectancy to get the job done fast, grinding is not one of my favorite things to do... 😬
Hey, is possible to test the 4 1/2 and 7” diamond blades that cut tiles?
ОтветитьI love Norton they last Zip disk rock
ОтветитьMaterial removed per lost wheel material would have been interesting too. As always, thanks for the testing!
ОтветитьVery nice's....
Ответить10 years ago I used my grinder 10 times a day, now I use it maybe 5 times a year. For me there is no reason to buy anything other than the cheapest available.
ОтветитьI've only recently discovered your channel, I'm very impressed and appreciative of the thought, time, and care you put into setting up everything to take the human element out of the testing. Also, how in videos like this one you clearly point out that depending on what you're doing, your choice of product may differ. 👍
ОтветитьCan you do a video on diamond cup wheel comparison?
ОтветитьConsider testing wire wheels; prices vary greatly.
ОтветитьNope Diablo is the best I use em until I’m almost to the washer. They cut great and last much longer than any brand I’ve tried and I work in a fab/ machine shop so we grind metal errrry day!
ОтветитьGet Dewalt and Diablo grinders pretty good (don’t buy em tho)
ОтветитьId love to see you do a comparison of diamond cutoff wheels for angle grinders. Given the additional safety of this type vs a fiber cut off wheel it would be good to know the best performer prior to buying one. Thanks for all you do, I enjoy watching your reviews.
ОтветитьThank you for your amazing review. Will these wheels cut quartz? Thank you in advance!
ОтветитьFast wearing wheels are the best in the long run. Metal will otherwise gum the wheel and it cuts 10 times slower but you dont realize it because it happens gradually.
ОтветитьHow about reviewing bench grinder wheels?
ОтветитьThanks!
Ответитьjust a suggestion,,,,,,if u doin any video regarding any form of abrasive.....please can u include pferd....rhodius...and lukas....and supaflex
ОтветитьThanks for this because yeah you can buy a 10 pack for 20$ but if they only last a few grinds it’s not worth it so thanks for this
ОтветитьI think for me as a welding student that had to always use a grinder I think for me the price to performance will be the dewalt so I think the next set of wheels I get I might try those out because I’m going threw a lot of wheels having to clean all my tacks and work bench when I leave the class eveyday and I was using the harbor freight but they only last a few days so thanks again for this video
ОтветитьI stopped using grinding wheels altogether. I use Harbor Freight cutoff wheels. They remove material A LOT faster, but you have to be quick with your passes to prevent gouging.
ОтветитьBest review iv seen yet!!
ОтветитьI personally like the Makita A-95956 grinding disc cause it definitely will eat through metals such as stainless steel. I do a lot of stainless steel work. Overall awesome video cause it helps people see the contrast between products. 👍🏻
ОтветитьI have gained a lot of insight into what products to buy for the best price and quality. Thank you so much for doing these. I am a disabled veteran and on a fixed income and you help me so much to save money.
Ответитьcould you evaluate the wolverine grinding wheel sometime too, please?
ОтветитьCool test, one note: if you think im only applying 20lbs to mah tool you're out of mind hahahahahha, this 160lb gorilla applies his full weight if he can
ОтветитьI'm sorry, ive been handyman since 78.I've had 12 flats,6 flats, single family homes.
Everything I've ever bought ftom harbour freight is junk, its inferior material and your going to get hurt.
Whats that tell you?
One grinding wheel 6 bucks and an other warrior 1$.
All their stuff is like that.
I need my eyes and limbs.
Maybe you could test/review bench grinder wheels sometime. Issues I have had are severe out-of-balance vibration on multiple purchases. Thanks.
ОтветитьI can’t believe you didn’t use 3m cubitron. It’s the highest tech grinding wheel on the market
ОтветитьThis needs a revisit. Not like this type of tech changes often, but how crap you’ve covered a lot of ground in 6 years!
ОтветитьI should show you a picture of my Left hand after a harbor freight grinding wheel exploded and went through my hand.
ОтветитьNo 3M cubitron?
ОтветитьYour channel is awesome. I want to see Ceramic Fibre discs competition, they're expensive and fast cutting, I want to see which brand is really good bang for buck.
ОтветитьHi you need to do an updated version of this test. Heres why, I find new discs grind best when brand new, And like the Norton disc, When worn, they cease to be abrasive. I suggest all tested when new, But somehow tested to show the drop off in efficiency.
I was doing a lot of grinding recently, And found it more speedy to swap discs, even befor they were showing real wear, Partly by running my finger over the disc, When no grip, swap the disc, Time is money, Plus wearing out the grinder etc.
So Which brand works best, For say 5 minutes,,, 10 minutes, 15 minutes etc Also, On different grades of stee perhaps,,, oops that might be TWO tests !! 'd like to know, instead of throwing out part used discs John in the UK
The best grind disk was a 3M Cubitron as a pipe welder I go through disk like nothing these things never glazed over and lasted me 3 days...they stop making them because 3M was losing money because they was so good...thats what the dealer told me.
ОтветитьTime for an update
ОтветитьIdk about flat grinding like u did but my warrior cut off wheels always cut fast then my coworkers Diablo . They do wear down faster tho n IM only finishing 4/5 sec faster nothing that makes a real difference during work or everyday use. I’ve only had one blow out in 2 years cutting some L metal it could have been me bending the wheel idk honestly . Milwaukee 11amp grinder corded is what I own been praying for it to break so I can buy a Hercules grinder that one they have for $100 bucks has been calling my name for months now
Ответитьcubitron 3m
