Mobile gamepads for smartphones exist now, such as the Razer Kishi, backbone and others.
ОтветитьTbh
There is a game called "sword play 3D" it's fun because you cut random npcs and beat the stage, let me tell you should turn off the internet before playing it to have a good experience.
I played thru the San Andreas netflix port with the backbone controller and it was glorious
ОтветитьHonestly this is a fun topic and I would love to see many videos go in-depth into more non mobile games that came to mobile and how well they work/anti work. At least to be this is a EXTREMELY interesting topic that I wish I could see more off. 😇
ОтветитьWait until scott finds out about Death Stranding and Resident Evil: Village on iPhone
ОтветитьI also remember shadow the Hedgehog releasing on the iphone
ОтветитьThe RE4 segment just gets better now that the remake is on iOS devices
Ответитьwho is yun? I did play street fighter 4 and I have never seen this character. Though it was the 3ds version so maybe they couldn't get him on there.
ОтветитьMan they did sonic 4 a disservice.
Ответитьthis aged so well
ОтветитьGeometry dash mentioned, best scott the woz episode
ОтветитьI'm five years late, but sad he didnt cover Dead Space on iOS. I played the hell out of it, drained my battery and had an original story. Was fun.
Ответитьi remember ristar being on mobile but its gone now
ОтветитьLucky! Closest thing I had to play games in school was a TI-83+ graphing calculator with a horrible version of doom on it.. and like asteroids. I was happy with it tho, anything to the kill time!
Sure we had cell phones but this was the pre smart phone era when mobile gaming was virtually nonexistent aside from like snake lol. And it was back b4 schools stopped giving a shit about kids having phones and we’re actually like pretty strict about them.
The iPhone came out when I was a senior so I def missed out. But on the flip side that was also the last year they had soda and candy machines and real snacks with actual sugar as well as the year before they put up cameras everywhere so ya win some ya lose some. Just like in the 70’s seniors used to be able to drink beer and openly smoke lol
But man I do often dream about what it would’ve been like to have a smart phone in school! Secretly looking up answers to tests, watching Netflix during study breaks, playing games when u finish an assignment early. Must’ve been pretty awesome, tho at the same time I still rly appreciate the era in which I went to school in. We just had a lot more freedom in general and in HS you were actually treated like an adult and didn’t have cameras watching your every move. So we could sneak out for a smoke or to skip the occasional class and roam the hallways. And we used to be able to leave early or come in late if you had a study at the beginning or end of the day. Just much more chill in general I think. Not to mention we had real food and in like the mornings you used to be able to go in and get a coffee and an egg sandwich.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of school back in the day and most people (or at least most of my friends) couldn’t wait to be done with it, but even back then I was able to recognize that I’d miss it once it was over and so I tried to make the most of it. And man I had an awesome time in the process!
This aged like milk
ОтветитьStreet fighter 4 mobile is my childhood
ОтветитьFor now, after a few years you can connect a gamepad to your phone and feel the buttons while play big games like on switch or psp. Maybe even old god of war games through cloud if your phone powerful enough.
Like imagine, how cool was the future, when you start the horizon or GoW 2018 just on your own smartphone. I think 5 years would be enough to make cloud gaming heavens
Emulators ☠️👀☠️
Ответитьdamn, you really dissed on SF4 Mobile. i wonder if youre going to revisit this topic someday, and if you do, please, play SF4CE with a controller.
ОтветитьSonic and Sega all stars?! Should've been smash bros...
ОтветитьThis is the first video I've seen of Scott the Woz. Wow he didn't even have that many subscribers back then
ОтветитьIs this the meme guy?
ОтветитьHow times have changed. I’m currently halfway through Sniper Elite 4 and I’ve played through Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remake and Assassin’s Creed Mirage on my phone. Plus, I have SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom AND The Cosmic Shake still to play. And Sonic Mania, Shredder’s Revenge, Dead Cells, Alien Isolation and the Professor Layton trilogy.
Took a while, but mobile gaming is finally actually good. Even though I still hold a soft spot for the endless Gameloft clones of big franchises that I used to play.
Sonic origins is ass
Ответитьno thanks on the switch. my $150 android can play gamecube and ps2 roms and a $40 controller razer kishi v2 makes it play like a switch
ОтветитьBy the end of my high school years, certain teachers put up a wall hanging with slots to put your phone in, and you had to put your phone in there. They went through the list and made sure everyone had a phone in their slot… so people started bringing old phones to put in there
Ответитьsonic 4 was less of a console game for mobile and more of a mobile game for console. it was originally made for mobile, by the company that sega had previously gone to for portable games like sonic advance and sonic rush, and making it a console game was a decision made relatively late in the process
ОтветитьThis video really does need to feature the J2ME era, with games such as The Witcher, Sonic Unleashed and Resident Evil The Missions, big companies already tried making games on mobile phones before what its shown here (The N-Gage is to blame probably), so its not like they didn't know, if anything, this validates the point of this video even more... we should expect a prequel of this video... probably... or probably i haven't watched enough Scott the woz and i missed the J2ME episode or the L Button episode.
ОтветитьBtw you can use a controller on mobile it works with the sonic classic games
ОтветитьScott pointed out how SF4 is still on the App Store, went to check it out and, found out that later this month I can play it on my phone for free with my girlfriend’s Netflix subscription. Thank goodness
Ответить👍
Ответитьyou should make a scotts stash about the recent sort of resurgence of these kinds of ports, with like death stranding, resident evil village, assassins creed mirage
Ответитьsonic on the ipod nano 4th or 5th gen is an amazing port of the game, controls work very well. good luck finding a rom of that though.
Ответитьconsole games on mobile is pretty good but mobile games on console why
ОтветитьBro i would do anything to play Re 4 mobile again. I unlocked everything on there
ОтветитьI personally think more and more console games should come to mobile, or at least the flagships
Ответитьmisinfo couldnt play kino on my phone in 2025
ОтветитьWhat about a comparation about todays mobile game industry?
