What it's like to play a cedh deck against 3 casual players.

TLDWatch - vivi is strong

I know playing a lot of removal can make content less exciting to watch, but without it we get games like this. The Enchantress and Vehicles each had like 3 cards to remove vivi. The other izzet was like 3-5 if you count like shatterskull smashing.

I think one of the fairest ways to build a vivi is going to be only FF cards. Like ignoring the FF arr rhystic you get some good stuff with bolt and counterspell still but no other pingers like guttersnipe, no storm kiln, no blazing shoal, no storm cards etc. Just keep him all in universe.

I made a standard vivi deck today….i mean wtf apparently nadu wasn’t a fluke…

honestly im suprised yal didnt save vivi for a cedh episode cause there cracked in half.

like vivi has cool visual design but he might be the least interesting commander in the set and defnetly is out of the choices in 9 and i feel like this game demonstrates why.

nothing against your choice mind you i can denfitly understand why someone might not think vivi is cracked at first

not saying vivi isn't incredibly strong but having a hand that is like literally the perfect set of 1 mana +3 buffs and omniscience and dragonstorm seems almost like it was set up to make it look even more extreme

vivi made the others lose traction, i wanna see shantotto in action 😢

Like we can all sit here and scream Vivi broken omg...but not a single bit of interaction was dropped in response to his chain. There's another izzet deck on the table and two other commanders who should have had removal. You could have waited right up until that chandras ignition and just removed vivi fizzling the entire process.

Vivi is strong,100% but people saying to "ban" are reaching too high...Gamechanger absolutely but for the love of god just run some more removal. Go over the decklists and it's so obvious Vivi would pop off and win when the interaction in every deck is that low.

Good game and great video, but I just wish people would would stop jumping ahead and blaming Vivi.

You should consider running cards like Instill Energy or Patriar's Seal in Balthier and Fran, that will let you untap them to crew another vehicle. Then you can pay 6 mana to get 2 extra combats.

Now just imagine if the 5 dragons were Terror of the Peaks, Twinflame Tyrant, Niv Mizzet Visionary, Scourge of Valkas, and Astral Dragon.

Vivi is so boring! the issue with the format they are using for the FF games is that we don't get to see any other of the decks again and we'll see more of the Vivi which is a shame...I sort of wish they'd have skipped Vivi and kept it to their CDH games

I love seeing Vivi doing crazy stuff! Especially cuz until this video every vivi game I’ve seen ends up with the Vivi player have just abysmal luck with their draws and such. So I love seeing her doing the crazy stuff!

I told my playgroup Vivi was busted, and got several responses that he didn't seem that degenerate. I feel like I need to send them this match lol.

I remember when stella lee came out and she was broken even if you just glanced at it and she absolutly was and still is. But this.. 😅 jesus

I mean I’ll never argue that Vivi isn’t strong. But I think the real star here is omniscience, which is nothing new. I still think Vivi can be built somewhat fairly without omniscience 😂

But to be fair, it was his intention. XD. That Vivi combo was explosive.

Vivi is my personal favourite Final Fantasy character so when the set was announced I was just like "well if they print a Vivi card I'll pick it up just to have it." Fast forward to him getting spoiled and it's "oh boy is he broken. I agree that it's definitely going to be difficult to make a more "fair" version of that deck. I'll still try and pick up a copy when the price drops, the current prices are pretty nuts.

I was also hoping for Shantotto to pop off. Hopefully next time.

Vivi was definitely supposed to trigger on each copy of Dragonstorm... Wasn't he?

Didn't really matter but Bill missed the constellation triggers from Calix and Composer when creating a copy of Etheral Armor off of Calix combat damage trigger

I got so excited to build Vivi when he was spoiled, but thought it might be a little too easy. Started theory crafting. Yeah, I'm off him. I'd like to have fun instead.
