Beautiful video and narration! My understanding is that lunch in the Golden Lion is included in your fare, ie. at no extra cost.

The Commodore club has spectacular views. Unless it changed the QM2's Golden lion food should be included in the fare. I know on Queen Anne it now charges.

Very well done. I have several QM2 trips upcoming its my favourite ship. I have just done a Queen Anne cruise it was OK. I will not be rushing back and will stick with QM2 and Victoria

A positive about the Queen Anne the buffet is called Artisans' Food Hall 90% of the food is behind glass and served to you, I welcomed this

I have a question for you. Did anyone in your group get one of the drink packages? I'm debating since it's my first cruise on QM2. I have other bookings, back to back and only considering a drink package on the my first voyage.

I can drink almost anything, but not overindulgent in any area. Water is what I drink the most of. I've calculated per day, 2-3 high end beers, 2-3 high end cocktails/spirits, 3 hot chocolates/coffee, 3 large bottles of sparkling/carbonated water. I calculated this based on a previous cruise where I had a drinks package. But this cruise doesn't have but 2 port cities in the 9 nights, that I probably won't get off to explore which counts for the extra drinks.

What do you think since an extra % is tacked on each drink that is purchased on the ship. I also understand that you can bring alcoholic drinks onboard when embarkation. Thanks in advance

I don't like dressing up at all. Would it be ok on gala nights if I wear dress black pants and a cashmere sweater, red for red and gold night, black and white for black and white night? We are sailing on Oct 4th.

I was going to mention Golden Lion the fish n chips, pie. Curry and think their version of ploughman's is included with fare but I heard extras menu item may have a cost but not sure that's on mary other ships

Thank you for this video! Wonderful to see this ole girl again. Took our cruise on the QM2 from Southampton to New York City in 2004, her inaugural year. Cunard has done a phenomenal job maintaining this ocean liner, as the public areas look exactly the same as they did 20 years ago.
Our favorite hang out was the Commodore Club in the very front of the ship. Above the bar, they had a large scale model replica of the QM2 which sadly I didn’t see in your video. G32 nightclub was also a fun venue after the evening show, but wasn’t as popular with the older clientele, resulting in lower energy levels. With all honesty, I was in my mid 30s, and today I would have a greater appreciation for G32! Thank you for the memories.
