I have always been against the argument that sliding down a rail does not constitute another rail in the called bank shot. I think it DOES count. Because it certainly does when a three rail kick is called. I have seen this "argument" in the game as being a decades long problem that the "pocket speed" wussies all argue against. But to me, if you call a one rail straight back and it slides the long rail going in, that is a fail because the additional rail was not called. This is a valid argument that those against it really have no footing on.

I have never seen someone so bad at setting a rack of balls up. The balls do NOT "squeeze" so him doing all that "bearing down" on the balls only serves to make stupid indentations in the cloth. Gorst always rubs the damned ball on the rail nose. Two things... the player is NOT allowed to clean the cue ball. AND doing that does NOT give the assumed action. It only contacts the ball on a single tangency point at the rail and at the table point of contact. How such great players do such lunatic level things is beyond me. But hey, I have my quirks too. And he uses his stick to line up bank angles after all these years? And still misses the bank. OK... my brain is broken. But my bank shots go in.
