You do 5 magnets horizontally with the pre netherite tier, super cheap, like 1 diamond 4 gold, do a basic 50% heat capped steam engine, its going to do 140 something k, 5 coils will do 150k something max, its 80% eff (already better than c&a) plus motors go 256 from get go. ''oh motor expensive'' just do more of the cheap one with the booster, gold cable goes 4k zeus and the 140k su engine caps bellow, gold in 1.16 is super cheap since the nether update. Meanwhile the alternator and generator recipes suck to automate + you need 9 of them per 50% heat engine, plus the motor only goes 192 so you need to ramp it again, plus you are hard capped 75% whereas late game new age you get 98%
You forgot to show what happens if the reactor is broken while its in use or you didnt know it:)

ОтветитьI just simply dont get the matter of these mods. There is a literal endless energy called redstone in the game. Why do we need to produce energy out of kynetics? I could get the point if it removes all redstone relations and focuses on how we gain electricity irl. But it those none of these??

ОтветитьI usually use both. But also, as long as New Age continues to have a problem with motors erasing themselves from existence when being loaded, I will be mad at it (and still use it, just with chunkloaders).
Also, take a look at The Factory Must Grow; it may look like it's all about oil, but it also has electricity too.
I want some hardcore challanges. For that, ı am using New Age! And ı think it is more detailed.
ОтветитьI generally just find New Age more fun. Generating electricity with just one block is boring and goes against what Create is all about, but Crafts & Additions is still worth having for all of the other stuff it adds

ОтветитьI wanted to use both in my world with other addons too but sadly New Age is not really compatible with Optifine and whenever I wanted to put down an Energizer, it crashed my game so I needed to get rid of it :/

Ответитьcrafts and additions is more vanilla friendly it has better textures and models and isnt extremely complicated so i think its better

Ответитьnew age is better, i can explain so you only get a minimum of 50 energy from the coil and the netherite magnets, however u can expand on that with more coils and netherite magnets bumping its energy up higher then 50

i much prefer having early innefficient things that lead into lategame power houses than 1 mid game thing that will be it
(outside of wire connectors but those dont really feel impactful to me)
plus the aesthetic of new age is much cooler
Tbh I use the Thermal series for my electricity needs coupled with immersive Engineering. Thermal machines are AMAZING but are a PAIN to power and Immersive power is awesome but you can only scale it slowly. I can see how Create could allow for a gear shifting system for charging Immersive Tools stupidly fast or generating massive power for walls of Thermal Machines. I’m gonna have to try these for myself. Been needing something to replace Nuclearcraft in 1.20.
