Okay 👍 classics
ОтветитьThat has to be the coolest car for long drives ever made.
Ответитьjay Leno's relaxed unassuming attitude makes him a pleasure to listen to...
ОтветитьReally enjoyable video of a really terrific car. When I was at school in Canterbury in about 1972 one evening I saw a new orange one of these waiting near the bus station. With the beige interior it looked easily a million dollars. The word glamour was made for it. Thought then and do now that it was the most exotic and fresh looking GT of the time. The Aston DBS V8 was nice but I still thought the Jensen nicer. Of course the FF was top dollar but were almost never seen. SP nice but a bit tricky
ОтветитьJohn Bonham owned two Jensens.
ОтветитьThe owner of the Jensen should have his own show ! very smooth and relaxed
ОтветитьMy boss, Bill Barker owner of Pioneer Machinery, Calgary Alberta, ordered a Jensen Interceptor in 1969 or 70 and received it in 1971. He tooled around the Calgary area during the break in period and then one fine day took off to Banff for lunch with business cronies at the Banff Springs Hotel. The valet that he left the Jensen with proceeded to take the car for a spin and ended up totalling it. A very sad day
ОтветитьAbsolutely stunning car
ОтветитьGlorious......
ОтветитьI could listen to him teach us all day long . And I dropped out . He is teaching , not just saying “I know everything “ .
Never thought much of Jay Leno , but I love Jay Lenos Garage :)
side profile looks like an AVANTI
ОтветитьId want a wood steering wheel
ОтветитьBorn in West Bromwich just like me.
We're both beautiful. 😂😂😂
Why would anyone choose to live in Taxachusettes? The left leaves you barely enough to eat.
ОтветитьJay is definitely NOT six feet tall...maybe close to that, 50 years ago...I would guess he is around 5'10" now...everybody shrinks by the time they are 70-ish. Including me!
Ответитьvinyl tops can serve a purpose as thermal and sound insulation ---
ОтветитьI have an Interceptor ii with 383
ОтветитьDo you know about the Interceptor 2. 383 and faster than 440.
ОтветитьI have an Interceptor Ii one of 432 lhd. 383 touqflite.
ОтветитьNice memories of the unusual .....but, beautiful Jensen in the 60's and 70's in SoCal. My formative years were in Costa Mesa! Best wishes to all!
Ответить“Proving that British cars are reliable”!!!! Rolls Royce, Bentley, Range Rover. C’mon Jay British cars were dreadful in the 1970’s and 80’s British Leyland has a lot to answer for. That said the American land yacht’s were not your nation’s finest moment.
ОтветитьDas Auto hatte ich zur DDR Zeit 1970, als Matchbox in Weinrot 😊
ОтветитьBack then I wanted a Jenson Interceptor but I had to settle for a 65 MGB with witch I were never unhappy with - it helped me catch my wife - still married - and still happy.
ОтветитьHe couldn’t blow his nose before coming onto the show lol
ОтветитьWhat a mightily impressive car. Just gorgeous.
ОтветитьWhat is a shassi?
ОтветитьA True , ",Grand Touring " Automobile ,a Beautiful Car : early ones has Chrysler 383 ,and Torqueflight ,later had 440 ,I , would have one :
ОтветитьThis car should be in Need For Speed: No Limits, because there's never a Jensen Interceptor in every NFS game if Firemonkeys should put the Jensen Interceptor in the Classics class so it will be a complete trio of British Gran Tourer cars after the release of the Aston Martin DB5 and the Jaguar E-Type Lightweight.
ОтветитьYou can still drive from the UK through France at 100mph on the autoroutes. They kindly mark the sparsely placed speed cameras so you can slow down in time. Unlimited speed is also still allowed in Germany in the right places, when it’s not too busy.
ОтветитьThe first versions used the 383ci, which were more powerful than the later 440ci. They were unibody, not separate body/frame.
ОтветитьIf jay had been watching a show called salvage hunter classic cars which is an English show he could have had a ground up restoration Jensen. It sold at auction for around £60,000. Beautiful piece of kit.
Ответить"Jammed between the cottages " - that's great
ОтветитьA dark color Interceptor looks like a car the Cray twins would drive.
ОтветитьSuch a cool car❤️👍
ОтветитьThe FF version was the car I admired, BUT it was beyond my bank account. I lived quite close to the West Bromwich Jensen factory and saw the cars in their yard as I was en route by train to Birmingham.
ОтветитьGod, I love this car! My lottery win cars would be an Interceptor and a Mk 2 3 .8s Jag!
ОтветитьA lot cooler than Lambos Ferrari s Zondas Mercs a gem of a car
ОтветитьLove the Enthusiasm for Classic British Cars by Jay🤘
ОтветитьThe rear end of that car is seamless! And the reason is that the seams are filled in with up to 16 sticks of lead! I found this out one Friday lunch time in a pub just down the road from the Jensen factory in 1973 when the guys from Jensen used to drink.
ОтветитьVery cool
ОтветитьMost beautiful car ever to me
Ответитьthe cars moving so fast it looks like jumping too speed
ОтветитьThats a beautiful Interceptor
ОтветитьIt wasn't fuel prices that "did them in", it was a commination of factors.
ОтветитьThere was no Jensen Interceptor FF as claimed. it was a Jensen FF. Around 318 were made not the far smaller number stated. A LHD version wasn't offered because making space for the Ferguson transmission meant the centre line of the engine/transmission had to be angled by around 5 degrees to the left reducing the size of the footwell.
ОтветитьHappy birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 Jay for tomorrow from me amd my family from Wisconsin, keep diving my friend 🧡 iys family car means more than the value never sell it.
ОтветитьAs much as Jay talks about ashtrays and cigarette lighters he's smoking something
ОтветитьThe first production car to have four wheel drive (they have 2 vents on front wings)
ОтветитьUgly but fast..... I'll always choose fast over ugly..... nothing I'd own, next to my Lamborghinis......but cool is ABSOLUTELY COOL, and very comfortable.
ОтветитьThis is probably my favorite video from Jay Leno's Garage. Wholesome, fun, understated, classic, beautiful.
