The sound effects from the sims 1 are SO nostalgic for me! Well the whole game is, but the way I vividly remember the order of the noises on the cartoons channel etc is wild.

I have only played sims 1, 3, 4. So very happy to finally be able to play 2 and play 1 again.

At only 25 years old, I hope you know what an amazing mindset this is. Not everyone your age has it, and many don't develop it later on.

Every time I hear someone say "live mode"... I wonder why I spent my entire life thinking it was "LIVE" with a long "I" as in the word "ALIVE". It makes so much sense that if the other "modes" are verbs, that one should be "liiive" mode. But I can't possibly be the only adult who spent my entire adolescence calling it "LIVE" mode... right?

I grew up playing sims 1 and 2 I am 30 I love both of them so I got the both packs

This is hilarious to watch! Great vid. Sims 1 was what I grew up loving so too funny to me to watch someone play it for the first time! hint: (if anyones told u this before sorry in advance) but faster way to earn money type in rosebud;; and keep clicking enter (it reads "no such cheat" but your money continues to rise. Also please make a magic sim and use a bunch of magic on a sims lot. Magic growths appear and cool things can be found! I know you don't really make magic and supernatural sims which is fine but the magic growths are cool.

I remember VIVIDLY when I would get expansion packs (because this was on discs), and you had to uninstall the game and install the discs in a specific order in order for it to work!! This is so nostalgic for me! I played sims 1 for AGES! I don't think i ever got sims 2 due to life, but eventually I had sims 3 for a little bit and now i have over 500 hours in sims 4. Looking forward to getting 1 and 2!! <3

Seeing all the expansion packs is crazy. Learning that expansion packs were even a thing as a kid blew my mind - “you mean there’s more??” And then I saved my money for each Sims 2 expansion pack, about 30 bucks each and now you can get both Sims 1 and 2 for that same price apparently haha. Pretty awesome. I’ve probably played the third one the least at this point.

My first fire in the sims 1 is something my family is still talking about xD I was like ten, then and I was home alone playing this game for the very first time xD then the fire came and I called my mum at work and screamed in panic that the house is on fire xD she thought from my reaction that I meant IRL xD I’ll just say here that the fire department was callled and I was so grounded xD

I was shocked at how disinterested you were to hear the in-game music from the radio and sounds from the tv. I had to then remind myself, it's nostalgia for me since it's been 20-25 years! 😢 I'm so glad you get to experience Sims 1, for those that played all that long ago, this is a special deal this rerelease!

I played a lot of the console versions, as well as sims 1-3 on pc. I enjoyed the ps2 and gamecube versions. I was quite fond of Sims Urbz. You are not wrong about the games being very different, though. For example, the sims for ps2 and ds are very different stories and gameplay. The sims 2 on ds if I remember correctly was about you trying to rebuild a hotel and something about a casino.... very weird.

The Sims 1 completely doable without cheats and hacks, for the best moneymaking home business (churning butter, gnomes, nectar), journalism and hacker careers, and superstar career are best.

I grew up on this game. My cousin introduced it to me, and I was hooked. The music, sound effects, and simlish voices truly take me back! Emblematic of an era gone by!

The thing I love and miss about the sims 1 and 2 is that the world's were huge compared to the sims 4. You could even edit the lot sizes and decorate the neighborhoods.

There used to be a Seven Deadly Sims bunch of skins which were next level, around the time that the Sims Resource started. Good times. I was 14 when I started playing, and I swear I bought every pack, then the collection, then re bought it. Good times. Mac user here, such a shame.

I forgot that the original game had cars you get into and use. But still no usable cars in Sims 4... :/

This is hilarious considering the thought of me being 11 years old playing this back in 2000 compared to how detailed the sims 4 is now. Ahhhh times were much simpler back then 😂

The drama of all the goths being at the restaurant with different people 🤣

The build mode is awesome, this Sims is different from the rest of the series, it has a bit of a dark disturbing tone.
