Thanks! This east-coaster is heading out in the fall. Old as I am, I've never been to Utah, AZ, Southern Utah National Parks- looking forward to it. Will be stopping at Kiva Coffee on our way to Moab from Panguitch. All the best on your travels!

Thanks for the tour. I am trying to find a road out west on which to bike. My concern is the narrow or non existent shoulder. The plus appears to be a light traffic on the road. I live in New Hampshire.

Kiva Koffe House is awesome. Great coffee, delicious muffins and nice books to browse through. And the best view in Universe.

I try to spend what I have with the local, independent people to the greatest extent possible. There’s not much else to eek a living out of in these beautiful places, most land is public, and the climate is arid. They depend on what we leave with them as we pass through admiring the scenery, and they provide a very valuable service as well. I leave all I can and try to spread it around, what little I have.

Thanks so much for posting this. It’s really helped me to determine how I’d handle the Hogsback on Hwy 12 from Zion to Bryce, as I have a crippling fear of heights, lol. I’m usually ok with them as long there aren’t straight drop offs on both sides; however, this doesn’t look bad at all. (Got some vertigo on the Hwy 1 drive on the California coast from San Francisco to Big Sur, but got over it.) Folks said the Hogsback is terrifying, but I’m not seeing that. I think I’ll drive and let my husband take photos and set the GoPro on the car roof. Also, the mention of Kiva coffee house was great. Will be sure to stop there! Thanks again.

Low traffic volume? Only a few hundred cars a day? Not any more.
