Q6600 was a sick cpu for its time. but its about time for an upgrade xD just to upgrade to a newer platform.
ОтветитьIs there a big difference between the FX 8350 and those?i mean big difference.?
ОтветитьFacepalm Trademark!
ОтветитьHashell- because its that hot.
ОтветитьDude you looks like a badass from a horror movie (nothing personal).
Ответитьci5 : 4 core, 4 threads (hyper threading tech) ci7:4 core,8 threads (but every core can do 2 task at once) amd fx 8350: 8 physical cores (no hyper threading)
ОтветитьWell not exactly 8 "cores". The FX-8350 has 4 modules with 2 cores each, but they share certain modules like the FPU unit and the L2 cash memory between 2 cores and L3 between all modules. That way you get higher latencies and less memory bandwidth. So it makes the AMD have more like 1,5 cores per module, something like hardware hyper threading and the Intel has a completely different architecture and software hyper threading. But when you use "8" core optimized software they are close :)
ОтветитьWhat's with the Dracula style?
Ответитьyes, it's a decent upgrade
Ответитьupgraded my fx-6100 to core i5 4670(non-k), and man! what a huge difference!
Ответитьmy i5-4670k has never gone over 50 degrees celcius
ОтветитьHey Tek I'm looking for a buget motherboard I found 3 options on the same prize MSI B85-G41 PC Mate,Gigabyte GA-P85-D3 ,ASRock B85 Pro4 . Wich one do you think is better for a haswell i5 4440?
ОтветитьYou don't like Ivy bridge-E? I like it but I don't like the prices..
ОтветитьMy C2Q-Q8200 has never gone over 40 under heavy load...
ОтветитьI would also sell that card and get a 660 for real cheap
ОтветитьJust ordered my 4670k
ОтветитьWith a Zylinder you could go as Abraham Lincoln in young ages
Ответитьi have a 920 :(
ОтветитьLinus is getting paid by companies to stretch the truth
Ответить@teksyndicate , im planning to buy a 4670K, im gonna stick a coolermaster seidon 120V closed loop liquid cooler on it, CAN I OVERCLOCK IT? thx
ОтветитьGood video... everything said is consistent with my own testing. I recommend anyone with a K or X unlocked Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge not bother upgrading to Haswell. Haswell doesn't handle CPU benchmarks or overclocking nearly as well and it is unnecessarily complex. You're better off sticking with 2nd or 3rd Gen i7 if extreme performance is your goal.
ОтветитьSo, if I am building a new system to mainly be used for gaming, should I grab the 3570k or 4670k?
ОтветитьGo with 4670k is a 8 pircent faster
ОтветитьDon't expect power to get much better, Intel is after battery life/die size.
ОтветитьNewEgg had a $20 off promo on the 4670K making it only $20 more than the 8350. So, I ordered the 4670K.
ОтветитьIt ended the next day. Sorry.
ОтветитьRunning the i920 and 4770 both. i920 on my left, 4770K (on my right) both stock, zero tweaking, zero overclocking. From a simple PC user standpoint I can't see/feel any difference. Not in speed, not in performance.. Nada. The Sabertooth Z87 board still lurches and I'm still getting hanging but I don't think this is the chip's fault. Brand new setups take time before the bugs are all worked out. Wife is very pleased w/920. I'm very pleased with my new WEI but my advice? Wait for the new Haswell-E
ОтветитьI love the new CPU
ОтветитьBig Improvement! My laptop. Asus ROG Core i7-4700HQ 4th Gen Haswell 12gb DDR3 @ 1600mhz 17.3 Inch Screen Nvidia GTX765M 2GB GDDR5 The new CPU runs cooler, faster, and more powerfull.
ОтветитьI still run a core2 duo E6850 3GHz and I have a 200MHz OC on it! (3.2GHz)... gets me 160FPS in my games with the quadro GPU... and when I letr a friend borrow my quadro and pair it with Haswell... we saw only 1FPS difference!
Ответитьwow wowow owwowowowow HOWWWWWW????? WHATTTT????? WHYYYYYY???
ОтветитьI really don't know how... My CPU in modern terms (2013+) is about as powerful as an office PC's pentium (dual core) counterpart, just with a higher clock speed, I'm not sure how the I7 under performed like that even though paired up with my FX1700 on a Gen2 16x PCI-e BUS... but the results don't lie, both systems were clocked as close to each other as possible and the GPU was kept at stock frequencies in each test, the drivers were ecaxtly the same and the only real change was the system used!!
Ответитьthanks 4 the infomation :) i really appreciate that
Ответитьlol, im building my first gamin rig so im doin haswell lol, my craptop i am using to type this has a intel core duo (pennryn architecture, which was released 2007) with only 3 gigs of ram (barely enough to do anything)
Ответитьas an audiophile i can tell you if you run a class ab amplifier it will get warm a bit , if you run pure class A amplifier both in put and out put stage you could burn your hand if you left it on top of the amp .superb sound but uses lots of power like a heater almost .
ОтветитьYou might mention Hasewell can port the onboard video cache with the video card x16 slot. This always you to use the cpu to video and bypass the buss. Something intel has included in its software for Hasewell. I might add you're PSU has more influence on power consumption then the chip. One reason to get the best rated efficient supply you can afford because any heat is wasted energy.
ОтветитьI'm still running a phenom 1100t and i see absolutely no reason at all to upgrade?
ОтветитьAsus has good products but after reading many reviews it seems there customer support is terrible. This leaves me kinda looking at other brands....
Ответитьwhy everything in america so cheap?
ОтветитьHave I just made a mistake buying the i5 4670K ?
I keep seeing this heat issue problem with these Haswell CPU's, I'm not intending on overclocking, I just got it cause it was the cheapest in my price range and seemed like a big leap from my i5 750 @ 2.66.
I only have an Arctic Freezer Pro Rev 2. I always use Arctic Silver Thermal Compound which has always given me around 25c to 29c on idle and no more than 55c under load with the 750.
Do you think I'll be able to achieve temps similar or close to this without OC'ing the 4670K and using the Arctic Freezer Pro Rev 2 with Arctic Silver ?
I'm not fussed if the idles and loads temps are a "little" higher than my old CPU, but I don't want them to be say 50c idle and plus 80c under load !
I can't send it back for lower end CPU without the unlocked cores as I bought it on finance, I gotta finish paying for it before I can send it back :\ All they will likely do is just send a replacement 4670K.
I'm kinda scared that I may have just buggered myself. I'm a real temp whore, I love low temps.
Could we get a NON-K comparison video ....and with a better video card. Like the R9-280X.? Thanks
Ответитьyay I prolly just spent to much!
ОтветитьJust watched this after purchasing and running a 4770K on an Asrock Fatal1ty z87 Killer motherboard. My PC temps are pretty high with stock heatsink and fan. I hover around 64 Celsius-71 Celsius during heavy gaming.
I run seven 120mm CoolerMaster Sickle & JetFlo case fans in a CoolerMaster N500 case. I don't overclock so I have been researching Haswell I-7 to see if I really do need to purchase an aftermarket CPU cooler or something is wrong with my CPU.
This just rest-assured me about my 4770K temp. Glad to hear the Haswell 4770k can be throttle-tolerable under high temps.
4770k or 4820k from Ivy? Which is best for extreme overclocking?
ОтветитьWhat the fuck are you talkin about 90c...... the max is 74 "for long lasting and stable CPU"
I'm confused.
Eh Intel is doing all this power saving stuff for there mobile line of CPU's and when I say mobile I mean laptops and tablets for the most part now.
Where better power efficiency means a longer battery life, And when you clock these architectures and design the them to be underclock a lot the power saving features become super apparent
My 4770K ran at 94C under load with the extremely worthless stock cooler.
Ответитьabout all the reports of hot running cpu's:
I've got an i5 4690 and it runs at max 70c under a gaming load on the stock cooler.
The "Devil's Canyon" CPU's seem to have some of the heat issues addressed.
So I guess if you are going to get a 4th gen CPU a Devil's Canyon choice would be a good one.
Why do you buy i5, i7? Buy Xeons!!! Xeon E3-1231 v3 offers THE BEST price-to-performance ratio!! Most of people don't really need overclocking!
