How to enter maintenance mode (keep engine running) on Toyota Prius

You never mentioned that you have to step on the break at any time during the steps; this is half the steps.

why my gas engine won't shut off after i parked? any reason even with the battery chargen still on!

Acc on, gas pedal 2x, hold brake from now on, switch to N, gas pedal 2x, switch to P, gas pedal 2x, ON.

My car must be different as these steps will not work. driving screen doesn't even turn on, unless it's ready on.

Like why not just put the sequence in the description? That just makes too much sense.

Is it okay to drive the car in this mode for snowy or sandy areas so that the car will not get stuck as the traction system is off. I read that driving in maintenance mode may damage the tranxaile.

Another video gives steps also. Insert key; press power twice; press gas twice; press brake while shift to N; release brake; presss gas twice; press/hold barke and shift P or press P button; release brake;press gas twicel; Problem appears on screen; Press/hold brake and press power button; this puts in maintenance mode; to exit maintenance mode just turn off car. Hopefully this is correct.
