This is how the Osprey should be refueled, put a refueling boom on the front of the KC-130 and let it come up on the Osprey. Prop rotors won't hit drogue that way.

Actually, this is VERY significant. If you take the HMS Queen, or even the WASP class ships, they are all getting F35B's. This cool setup could add air to air refueling ability for such types of a ships - this would significant improve the reach and power of smaller ships that deploy the F35b.  It means such planes can takeoff with max weapons load, and then re-fuel - the result is an extension of forward airpower from smaller ships - a real game changing concept. I a guessing 20,000 lbs of fuel, but if you cycle two V22's, then you can either transfer 20,000 lbs more to one V22 flying tanker while the 2nd V22 cycles back for more fuel loads.

This makes the F-35 so much more dangerous. Brilliant.

any plane can be the gaser upper i thought it was about refueling them. anything with a prop is an accident waiting to happen if they are trying to take on fuel
