The Wharfedale still sounds fuller, but the Polk comes closer than most of the other speakers you've compared to the D320. It's still a standout in the under $400 range
ОтветитьWow!
Thanks a lot. I think I was one of those who suggested comparison of these speakers 👍
The D320 should listen without a grills. Without them, there is much better resolution and clarity.
ОтветитьD320 more detail and rich, Polk more bright on Treble , but look weak and dry.
ОтветитьWharfedale sounds more laid back. I prefer the sound of the Wharfedales.
ОтветитьI feell the Polk S15 is on the lean, bright side of neutral, but they sound a touch more open and transparent in the midrange than the Wharfdales.
The Marantz seems nice and smooth sounding.
While you're doing small bookshelf speakers, I'd love demos on the
Q Acoustic 3010i vs the Emotiva Airmotive 1's. Perhaps the Dali Spector 1's and the surprisingly good, budget Micca RB42's, as well. Either way, Thanks guys for nicely done, effective sound comparisons of affordable audio gear✊
Easy Win for wharfedale ✌️
ОтветитьI can feel the Polk better than the Wharfwdale
ОтветитьI like the polk more, the wharfedale has this muffled airy bass unlike the polk its more balance, but both were constructed beautifully
ОтветитьThey sound pretty close to each other. The polks are definitely brighter though. You'd probably be happy with either based on this video
ОтветитьLower mids on the Wharfdales are recessed, but they are right up front on the Polks. I give the edge to Polks for that reason.
Ответитьpolk can be listened longer than wharfedales, but both sound amazing, can't say anyone less than the other, they are just different, i prefer polk more.
ОтветитьThanks for your incredible work. Instant subscribe from me, I really like listening to life speaker demos.
ОтветитьDo you test towers? Since the D320 did really well in your comparisons maybe you can try the D330..
Ответитьfor warm sound what are your 3 best pick under 200 usd?
ОтветитьIt is impossible to accurately judge a speaker in this manner
ОтветитьBass wise, kinda the same. Treble wise, the Polk is brighter but the Wharfedale has enough treble. I would be confused to pick either one. Have always loved the warm sound of Wharfedales but in a HT setup you also want it to be a touch brighter up there. Phew!
ОтветитьYiu should remove the wharfedale front cover
ОтветитьWharfendale with thick foam grills on? The most restrictive grills ever made. Polk without? Lame
ОтветитьBest bass? Polk ? Wharf??
ОтветитьD320 = 11.1 ?
ОтветитьThe Warfedales sounded muffled to me, the Polks had a clarity that the Warfedales didn't have to my ears.
ОтветитьCould you retest this without the grills on D320?
They really sound like there's some echo, like I'm sitting in a huge empty hall, weird.
My Polk S15 didnt sound like this. They sounded like dogdhiy
ОтветитьWarfidale sounds more balanced and does not tire. The abundance of high shelf goes beyond.
Ответитьwhat I find most important is such small speakers is their ability to blend in with a subwoofer and a pair of tower speakers in order to get the full benefit of Dolby atmos listening.
ОтветитьHello! How are you? I'll ask you, if you don't mind. I'm going to buy a Marantz M Cr 612 Sintoamplifier for home use to watch movies and music in streaming and also CDs. Do you recommend 4 units of these speakers? Or the SE20 and a couple of these? Or 4 SE15 or 4 SE10? A cordial greeting from Argentina. Keep it up, very good channel!
ОтветитьPolk !!!!
ОтветитьPolk is my choice
