When they hear "no" they go rogue and do as they please. If they did that as often in RL as they do on TV, more doctors would be sued or in jail

Those restraints were no stopping her from doing an assessment. Even so. One restraint can be removed at a time. Docs endangering not only herself but others. Absolutely you can offer compassionate care but safety first.

As a former corrections officer who has escorted numerous inmates to hospitals. You do not leave inmates unattended nor unsecured. Handcuffs or leg-irons. If there is a serious situation we’re restrains must be removed there will be at least two officers and if inmate is extremely dangerous then there may be added extra officers accordingly. This is even in the ER. Where the officers will wear scrubs and stand out of the way by a wall or something. But the inmate must be under constant visual supervision.

The doctor probably went out of her way because she discovered a possible underlying condition, reason for the patients violent behavior. But I never watch TV medical or police shows. They are too much, ...ugh 😮

In the real world None of that would have happened. First off a person in police custody would not be taken out of handcuffs without some other type of restraint being applied. Second the doctor would not kick out police if the patient was in custody. Third a victim has to press charges for sometime to be charged with an assault.

Ik this is fiction, but in the aspects that the movie is drawing from, I’m 💯 with the doctor. Our criminal “justice” system only works to punish people. What is the sense in punishing charging someone just to punish them? Literally who does that benefit? This is the same system and society that casts all prisoners as fing evil and subhuman even when they break unjust laws. There are people that are made to give birth while still in chains in hospitals across the country, and whose bodies suffer greatly because of this. Like wtf! I’m really struck by the comments on this video grouping all inmates together, seemingly written as if once someone is convicted that that is the only thing about them and everyone isn’t still a human being who deserves full unencumbered healthcare
