Great demo man. I read your full review of this axe in The Guitar Magazine. During your inspection of the guitar you made mention that the pickups were removed to have a better look inside. I know the pickups are Seymour Duncan 59's. Do you remember if they were 4 conductor or not? Very interested in this guitar.

Great playing and review. Eastman guitars are superb. Especially the aged varnish finish!

The thing I like about Eastman guitars is that they are handmade by people with hands in China....a country with a lot of people and, therefore, a lot of hands.

Do they look as good as the gibson les Paul? Imo No BUT there is no argument that this is a far higher spec and finish instrument than and a les paul standard and sounds and feels 10x better.

I put this in the category of a guitar for someone who really wants that 1959 custom shop but doesn't have the funds. Its scary how close this is in every way to one of them 5.5k 1959 gibson les Paul custom shop guitars.

I have a couple cs gibbys r8 and r9 and a sb59 the eastman every bit as good or better than the cs guitars I have. I always gig with the Eastman it’s lighter and plays n sounds great

Now they are using Lawler pick ups. Gibson wish they could build a guitar like this but they’re too lazy. Very poor management. Very poor quality control.

Just got my 4th Eastman, so I now have 3 SB59’s (2 with the Truetone Gloss finish and a gold top with nitro) and a T484. They are all amazingly nice guitars. For comparison, I have 8 Gibson USA guitars and a Heritage H-150, and the Eastmans are consistently better than all of the others. The only one that comes close is my Gibson 70’s Deluxe gold top in terms of build quality. It’s my favorite overall guitar, but the SB59 is my second favorite hands down. I would love to play an SB59/v for comparison but I’ve never been a fan of aged or relic guitars. If I buy a new guitar I want it to look new until I age or relic it naturally. 😂
