Sir I’ve started freelancing a couple of days ago , and omg , it’s a whole different scenario than jobs, you were right jobs are not only hard to get they’re literally dead and vibe coding is leading in freelancing scenario. I even passed my screening round to one of these freelancing platforms which I’m not gonna disclose openly here in the chat to prevent any kind of crowd competition in this field as well. But to be honest it’s my first project and it’s a vibe coding one 😮 . They first provide u with small training for the project then it starts, they’re offering 36 dollars/ hr fir 5 hrs a week, and 8 dollars per hr for over times. And I’m just a student still in college. Fk em whoever says ai will take your job and all . Ai is god’s gift to the humanity. All hail ai 🫡🗿🔥

Hey Uncle Steph, it's true that the game is changing I got an assignment for a frontend position and they literally stated that I can use AI but was given 48 hours to submit it back.. this shows the direction the game is heading to

Salesforce CEO said they're not hiring new devs this year because AI tools have made them so much more efficient. Microsoft, Meta, and Zepz have been laying off devs bc of AI. Absolute Zero Reasoner and Alpha Evolve are strong evidence that we're seeing the beginning of self-improving AI at least in terms of reasoning tasks.

Yes, we will always need some human devs. But the number of devs we need will drop dramatically in the next few years. Getting a job as a dev will become extremely difficult even for very senior devs.

As someone who’s half your age. History doesn’t repeat, it rhymes. Just because something starts out the same doesn’t mean it will go down a similar track. That’s a logical fallacy.

Thrres a certain plateau at which humanity can need software maybe AI is pushing us more quickly to that plateau

I was laid off. I changed my mindset. I started my own agency because this AI accelerates my task. Now already starting to do market fit in my local community businesses that needs my webapp. Solo developer right now is much better..

lol! This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. No one in the game industry is using AI to program AAA games especially something like GTA6. The engine alone is multiple millions of lines and of such complexity that most AIs will not be able to add anything that makes any sense.

One question i would like you to make a video off.

In all the job ads in programming today they seem to look for senior developers and not Junior developers. But how will that work in the future for programming if no juniors are hired, then there will be no senior developers in the future when they retire. Since AI canät replace Senior developers anyway right?

Isn't this metric "% of code written by AI" a bit misleading? If I'm using an LSP and it autocompletes something for me I didn't technically write that code as well. If I start to write a for loop and I write "fo" and AI or whatever autocompletes the rest 90%+ of that code wasn't "written" by me.

I joined your mentor program a couple years ago. You said I would get a video call. I still haven’t gotten one. Can I still schedule one? This video is very helpful btw.

I've noticed GitHub copilot might charge beyond the $100 per year, based on extra use. With its attempt to squeeze more 💰 out of me, this is becoming too much like a romantic relationship.

Once coding is removed from development, much of the reason to be well paid is removed. Anyway, I'd rather own a whorehouse in the Yukon during the gold rush than a pan and pickaxe.

As to your hair situation. You're still far from entirely bald -- no horseshoe wreath of hair-- so you can still straddle hairstyles. Plus you have a masculine face, which means you can get away with any hair approach: close shave with knobbly skull, or grow it out in a shaggy balding do, makes little difference. I have a slightly asian cast to my face, which feminizes it. I'm okay looking with a hat or halloween wig. Otherwise I must go as totally close shaved as possible. Alas, I have the horseshoe hair wreath and my head looks to have a dent in the back. And I have a redhead's palor. I can't win on this, but it's the best I can do when not wearing a cap or winter beanie. I shave it down to the skin. But I care less each year.

Weird thing is with AI... Jobs are gonna be a thing of the past... so no more developer bootcamps, no more tech interviews no more leetcode and you can forget about the fundamentals (by the way this is coming from a CS postgrad). AI will be smarter than even the current pioneers of the AI field so that being said, prompting has become the new high level programming language and probably the only relevant one. I honestly think this is gonna be a new way of life, just like how we moved from horses to cars. So forget about learning a new programming language (eventually the bugs will go away or be miniscule). Think about it how good is image generation now and video generation. So all those coding books are an utter waste of time. Solve problems with AI not code

I'm happy you see the light! I too didn't believe it at first, thought it was just a 'fad' or 'trend'. This whole issue is perfectly summarized by the StackOverflow AI ban and controversy.
It's way beyond that. It's a total paradigm shift. Those who embrace it will supercharge their development and jobs. Those who do not will fall by the way side.
