The Unreleasable Batman Movie

This really has all the hallmarks of the typical Frank Miller garbage. He just cannot help but spread his racism and misogyny over everything whenever he puts pen to paper. He just cannot help but make all women into drug addicts or prostitutes and all non-white men evil, can he?

Aranofsky is a lousy writer. He's clumsy, obvious, and lacks subtlety to such an extent that his darkest movie moments are instead campy and funny.

Batman Year One would've essentially explained why he doesn't kill people and where he learned it from ❤

A Batman who wears hockey pads, brands criminals, and injures criminals to an insane degree “but they won’t die” and a suicidal Jim Gordon is something that crucially misunderstands who these characters are. Even in year one or dkr these characters never went so off base without some kind of justification. A Batman who enjoys hurting criminals isn’t batman, it’s just punisher in a Batman costume. Why is Gordon attempting suicide so much if he has a pregnant wife? In the year one comic, he regrets coming to gotham because he has a wife and child, but he doesn’t try to eat a bullet because that leaves his loved ones at a disadvantage for the corruption to swallow them up. I’m glad this movie never got made.

OMG, that could be the most realistic Batman ever. Human, flawed, not crazy rich. So good!

Man I wish we got this movie

Wow...what a mess. Maybe it's just hearing the script read out like this, but it sounds awful. I don't like the idea of Batman taking such joy in hurting people, and this whole thing just feels like it's trying too hard to be dark and edgy, like I wrote it when I was 14.

the Batman is literally a year one-esque movie, like I dunno know why people don't get that, he's in his year 2 in that movie but it's close enough, we literally see him take his first "flight" in that movie in a not controlled environment, it's pretty apparent that that's not a Batman who does this for years already

Just for reference for how dark this Batman is, Frank Miller thought that this Batman was too dark, and his Batman is a psychopath.
