thanks a lot! I have this '10 car and the odometer said I drove 300k+ miles on it but I swear I only drove 15k miles. I was able to reset it to 15k miles and make an extra $13k selling it to an elderly woman. her husband asked why the engine looks so run down but I told her it should be fine it only has 15k miles on it! they bought the car!

Next time just get a OBDStar X300M module and change your mileage (on any car) in like 30 seconds.
This can look very tempting for some people but the odometer chip is NOT the only place that the actual mileage is stored. Power train PCM and other modules, also contain an actual mileage and a scanner will reveal it. Good job explaining WHY you are doing this and the warning at the end . I am so super impressed by how much you know about eletro-mechanical systems. Judging by your age estimate, I figure you started learning about this stuff when your were 5 or 6 years old.:-)

after watching this video, i was wondering if there was a way or a tool that allows me to read the data from the old speedometer .. and transfer it to a new speedometer .. there is by chance some tool or equipment that allows to do this ?

Real criminals just buy a $200 scan tool on eBay and electronically reset the mileage. If you’re suspicious you can have a trusted mechanic use his scan tool to read one of the other modules that record mileage for comparison.

Hi! I performed this procedure on my 03 Lexus GX470 and finally was able to successfully change the mileage. Just a couple of issues I got.

1. ODO and mileage reading are Flashing / Blinking.
2. RPM Gauge seems to have stopped working.

Any idea what may have caused this? Or what can fix it? Thanks!

For me this isn’t a scummy purpose. I have a classic car with about 230K miles & I simply wanna do a cluster swap from a analog cluster to a digital.
I WANT my digital cluster to read the 230K miles. I don’t wanna lower shit LOL
